I was debating getting this or perhaps the expensive iPod Touch. I am a subscriber of Tracfone Wireless and while this phone was meant for Total Wireless, I was able to activate this phone on Tracfone by simply providing the IMEI number at the time of activation online. Simply logged into my account, did the phone upgrade and instantly my phone was activated. Mine was brand new and sealed and upon going into the settings my phone was already upgraded to iOS 13. Out of the box. You get Apple Branded earphones with volume control which are nice. Battery life is OK but I can't get it to last more than a little bit over a day but that's alright. So far it's proved to be useful for my day to day activities and Fit Bit syncing is better on iOS than Android. Mind you this is my first iPhone so I am still learning but I will get the hang of it. I strongly suggest purchasing a case and the screen protector from the get go as it would be a handy purchase to prevent damage to your new device. Has a 1 year Apple Warranty which I assume you can go to any Apple Store and get service on it if you need it. Also this phone does support Apple Watch series. So if you want to upgrade to that, you can , but you must choose the one with GPS and not the one with Cellular since Tracfone, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile and Straight Talk do not support iPhone watch on its own account. I know this is not the newest iPhone but it still is speedy and has good use for a new person looking to get their feet wet into the Apple world and don't want to spend more than a certain amount of money.
