The battery life began to lessen and it also showed signs of failure. I upgraded to the 7 and was very happy that I did. Lighter, thinner, better performance ... not to mention much improved photo/video capability. Not cheap, but for iPhone users a great upgrade.

As good as the iPhone 8 without the extra price

The sales guy at Best Buy helped me decide the iPhone7 had enough better features to make the jump to a new phone without the higher price tag of the iPhone8.
