Major upgrade in an Apple phone

I choose the X-R versus the 8 Plus because of the longer battery life. Also, the X-R has a swipe home versus the 8 plus' mechanical home button. The camera isn't as crisp as an 8Plus so that was a trade-off. The price was better with incentives to purchase the X-R vs. the 8Plus. I was concerned about personal data transfer since the models were years apart but it took about 20 min in the store for the sales person to transfer my data to my new phone. :)
