Pretty Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is great overall. Def takes getting used to when using the screen swiping commands instead of home button I honestly don’t really notice it’s gone now. I will say having a popsocket is helpful because the phone is way heavier than the 7 and it gives you more of a grip. The phone is very fast and screen is bright. I feel like the battery lasts longer too

Beautiful and Sleek and Fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this phone. Much more powerful than my previous 6s. I had reservations about the Face ID but now can’t live without it. Works well in low light and is even faster than the finger ID on my previous phone. Camera is stunning and it puts the iPhone X to shame. Very pleased

Awesome phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose this one to upgrade my 6S. Love the bigger display, especially the clarity. Compared to the clarity of the XR, I had to go with the XS. I adjusted quickly to losing the home button. I’m glad I made this purchase.

Amazing Phone with only one Drawback
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iPhone XS is essentailly the PERFECTED iPhone X. It’s display is beautiful. It’s bright (though I wish it was brighter) very vivid, bold, and sharp. The camera is outstanding and as usual, iOS is very smooth. The A12 chip dishes out almost unbeatable performance. It also packs a 5.8 inch screen (larger than the 5.5 inch of the plus model iPhones) into a much smaller body. If the XS Max is too big for you, this phone is still very excellent. It also starts out at only 64gb of storage. For me, 64 gigabytes is more than enough, but for other users they may need to get the 256 or 512gb version. Pros: -Amazing Screen -Very Fast -Good Form Factor -Beautiful Camera -Gold finish is GORGEOUS -Gigabit-class LTE is fast Cons: -Battery life is not amazing -Expensive -Screen is not incredibly bright (hard to see outdoors) Summary: Overall, the iPhone XS is an exceptional phone. If you are someone who needs more battery life I would advise getting the Apple XS battery case. But for the average user, I think this will easily get you through the day. The camera provides great color accuracy and almost professional-quality video and beautiful photos. Almost nothing can make this phone stutter, and iOS is very smooth. Is it worth it over the XR? In my opinion yes. The XR is $250 cheaper with the same main camera, same chip, and slightly larger scree, but it has many drawbacks. I think the OLED display, telephoto lens, gigabit-class LTE, pretty stainless steel bands, and IP68 water resistance over the IP67 of the XR are worth it. But know that if you can’t afford that extra $250, the XR is still a great phone with a beautiful LCD display. Below are some photos I took with the XS.

Wow, just wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To preface my review, I upgraded from an iphone 6. Therefore, this phone has been an eye opener! I can’t get over how fast everything works. Toggling between home screens, and between apps is smooth and unbelievably fast. The battery lasts way longer than I expected (it’s 9pm and at 85%, with me using it through the day). The OLED screen is super bright, even when I have it on about 1/5 brightness, and the colors so rich. And I really like that although the screen itself is a lot bigger than its predecessors (the 6, 7, 8), the phone is almost the same size. I’ve never wanted to go with one of the massive “Plus” phones just to have a bigger screen, and the full screen/no home button/minimum bevel accomplishes this. Also, despite what other have said, I don’t think the notch is a problem at all. As for some other specific features: Face ID—spot on. This will recognize my face ALWAYS, even with glasses on. It even reads my face in the dark with nothing on but the backlight of the phone (e.g. if I want to check the time or something in the middle of the night). And to see if I could throw it off, I have had a few people try to open it, which it wouldn’t do (excellent). It won’t even unlock with eyes closed (I tried!) Camera—hard to compare to iphone 6, as this is light years ahead. Loving the 2x lens and portrait modes. The ability to edit portrait mode photos after the fact, and change f-stops to control the bokeh is mind- boggling for a phone. Selfies still seem a little grainy, but only when all the way zoomed in, but the rear facing camera is taking fantastic photos. Great low light capabilities, and video is SO much improved. Very clear shots. Finally (I could go on and on), the lack of home button— I know there are many critics of this, but let me tell you, use it for a day, and you don’t even notice. I wasn’t a huge fan of the fingerprint ID (I have notoriously difficult-to-read fingerprints so it didn’t always work anyways), and the ability to just swipe up to go back to home is just as easy. You can also adjust your accessibility settings to create a “virtual home button” if you really want, but I don’t see it as necessary. Bottom line: it is super expensive, but I’m finding that this is worth the upgrade.

A great phone all around!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I held on to my iPhone 6s as long as I could but the battery life was beginning to fade quickly so I finally decided to upgrade to the Xs. This phone is so fun and easy to use! I thought not having a home button would make it harder to control but everything is very smooth and easily accessible. The facial recognition is great and very smart, the camera is clear and takes great pictures, and the speaker has nice volume and great quality sound. The phone is also more durable than any other phone I’ve had and I finally feel comfortable using a light case with no screen protector instead of an otter box. I also love how long the battery lasts! I can use my phone all day long and still have about 30-40% at the end of the day.

Some things i would change but Loving it so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome upgrade for me coming from an iphone 6S Plus. I was torn between getting this, the XS Max, the XR or finally jumping ship and going back to Android and getting the Google Pixel 3XL. Decided to stick with the iOS ecosystem. At first I thought i'd get the XR because of the cheaper price and better battery life but decided to go with the XS because I didn't like that the "portrait mode" on the XR could only detect faces and I wanted to be able to take pics of objects in portrait mode. I don't even really use the portrait mode though. In hindsight, I think I would have saved the money and got the XR and have the better battery life. The XS itself is a great phone. The camera is great, FaceID works SUPER FAST (I'm amazed at how fast still), and the screen is beautiful. I'll admit the notch is still obnoxious but i've gotten use to it and don't notice it as much anymore. Also, coming from a 6S Plus with a home button, it did take a little time getting use to not having a home button (a week or two atleast for me). Phone overall is super fast and works great. The few things that keep me from giving this phone a 5 star rating are: 1) The price. Super expensive for a cell phone especially when you consider what the competition is charging for a comparable (possibly better) phone. 2) Battery life is okay, could be way better. As a heavy user, I can barely go the whole day without having to charge my phone (especially now that I've added an apple watch to my daily essentials) 3) Not being offered with a 128gb harddrive. Going from 64gb to 256gb is such a big gap. I think 128 is more than enough for most users. Price the 64gb even cheaper and then adding a 128gb between that and the cost of the 256gb would have been awesome 4) Not having a headphone jack. Not usually an issue for me since I do have airpods but I did forget my airpods for the gym the other day and couldn't buy cheap headphones for the day since the phone didn't have a headphone jack. Overall would definitely would recommend this phone especially if you're coming from an older model like i was,

Good phone, overpriced.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am somewhat locked into iPhones because of my other apple products, however they are close to pricing me out of that commitment. They are getting silly expensive. Phone works well, the FaceID is something to get used to and required a fair amount of hassle to transfer things over from a TouchID system, The camera is pretty nice, I need to experiment more. I bought this phone because it was the same size as my previous 7. I really don't want a larger phone. Because the screen covers the whole face of the phone pretty much this device SEEMS bigger, which is pretty cool. The caveat of the recommendation is if someone is new to apple or not. I have a hard time getting a good friend who DOESNT have previous apple product investment into such an expensive solution when there are other similar products on the market at a lower price point.

Works great - nice and fast
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally upgraded my dinosaur Iphone 5s and am very happy. So much faster, I like the face recognition for easy access and the camera is nice. It's larger than my 5s but not as large as the 11, which I felt was too big for me and my pockets. Glad I got it at the reduced price, made the purchase so much easier. Transitioning everything was very easy through the Cloud.

Feels like a leap from my iPhone 8s
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While my iPhone 8S was only 18 months old when I purchased this, the XS just feels leaps and bounds ahead of it. Not having a home button was probably the hardest adjustment, but (while it still freaks me out a little) the facial recognition unlock works really well. The OLED screen is vastly superior to my previous phone, and the camera... particularly in Portrait Mode... creates stunning images I would never have expected from a phone. Stepped down from 256GB because so much of my "stuff" is on the cloud now, I just didn't see the benefit for a larger hard drive. I'm happy with this phone, and fully expect it to carry me through a full 2-year agreement. (I hardly ever keep a phone that long)
