I upgraded from the iPhone 7 Plus, and I’m happy to say I don’t miss the home button at all. The buttonless front gives the phone an even more premium look, and the oled display is a real upgrade from the LCD in the older generations. iOS 12 is also fast and refined especially with the Xs Max.

I like the big screen and the pics this thing takes is incredible. Watching a movie with the new screen is amazing and most important, because at the end of the day it needs to make calls, the sound quality when hearing another person is excellent. The high price was a tough pill to swallow though.

This phone is hands down the best one I've ever owned. I cannot say enough good things about this phone. It's fast and very big. Coming from an iPhone X I can appreciate the increased screen size. The newer chip allows everything you throw at it to move along at a speedy clip. Excellent phone.

Ended up with XS Max after first trying the XS. Both phones have a lot of screen. The XS turned out to have a slightly more narrow screen than my previous phone. The keypad characters were cramped & text to fine for easy reading. The XS Max corrected that. Great phone if you can grasp it & don’t mind carrying a larger phone. Great sound projection from speakers & good screen.

Really happy with this purchase, Apple really knows how to make a high quality, streamlined product every time. The size of this is a perfect step up for my last phone the 7 Plus, and the full screen is super nice. Great camera quality as I’ve come to expect from Apple as well.

I was so excited to buy this phone. I have been using it nonstop since I bought it. I was skeptical about the face recognition but not anymore. It is easy to use and now I like it better than the finger print feature. The battery life on it lasts a very long time. I highly recommend this phone!

Phone itself is great. Ios 12 is still a little wonky. Screen is big and vibrant. Sound is still tinny if you have a case. I am ambivalent about the loss of fingerprint scanner. Face I'd Is fun but hard to use in dark or if you have it on a holder and are not angled where it can see your face.

going from the "button" to the no button was so much easier than even I thought it would be, the camera is spot on. the price of course not so much so this phone will have to last longer than my previous one so with that said I hope that the battery turns out to be better than the last ones

Went from the IPhone 6S Plus to this phone... AMAZING isn’t even a great enough start. I wanted a large screen, with the newest technology, but didn’t want to pay for the 11Pro Max price,,, This phone does it all and is wicked fast!!! Amazing purchase!!!

I have used an iPhone since the first one. Before that, I used an iPod since the first one. Before that, I used a Mac since the first one. So let's just accept I am well entrenched in the the Apple garden and that I am not going to compare this to an Android or something. I like the extra screen real estate. The phone is more fluid and faster than anything I have used to date, including a X. I get better reception than my X. The Battery is about the same (8-10 hours), which is a disappointment (my 6plus had a better battery life, 10-12 hours). The Face ID seems faster, but who knows, that may just because the overall phone experience seems faster. BTW, I find Face ID to be FAR superior to Touch ID. I love picking up the phone and it just works. Yes, the phone is expensive. Only you can decide if its worth it. For me, it was.

It has a nice display, love Face ID, and camera is solid. Just too expensive. Not worth the premium cost. C’mon Apple, stop being so greedy.

This is by far my favorite and the best iPhone I’ve has yet. I’ve been using IOS since the first few iPhones came out and this one is super lux. The portrait mode on camera, fun emoji features, and the bigger screen with even better image quality! I even prefer this over the XR.

I was never an iPhone user, always a Android. This phone blows any of the other away, in every aspect! I’ve been converted, thanks to this beautiful, sleek new device that literally does everything, from photos to spreadsheets. Not to mention the color is awesome! iPhone for life!

My 15 year old was upgrading from an iPhone 7 to this one. She really likes the camera and the phone itself. She has been very happy with it so far. It is bigger of course than the 7 but she really likes the size. She says it is not too big.

Apple delivers an iPhone with a huge screen, and for movie-watching, game-playing fans the iPhone XS Max is an addition to the iPhone family. Camera is extraordinary on this particular device along with other features at your fingertips. MFJ

I upgraded to the Xs Max from an iPhone 7 and the additional screen real estate is impressive. The camera with the optical 2x zoom is outstanding as well. Given the updates to iOS 12 along with the new A12 Bionic chip, this computer (not sure we can call it just a phone anymore) is fast and responsive. Face ID takes a little getting used to, as does not having a home button anymore. After a few days, however, the new "swipes" are second-nature and not obtrusive. The reasons for 4 stars (instead of 5) are two-fold. First, while this phone has a huge screen, you're paying a premium for it. At more than $1,000, this phone is the most expensive I have ever purchased. True, it replaces a camera, video camera, phone, portable device, etc., but that is still a lot of money. Second, if you have smaller hands, the size of this phone feels mammoth. Walking through the halls at work and sending a text with just one hand is a thing of the past for me. Even with the keyboard shifted to one side of the screen, I still find myself having to use two hands so that I do not drop this $1,000+ device. So, do you want the biggest screen and fastest processor in an iOS device, this is definitely it (if you can afford it and do not mind two-handed operation).

This has been a great phone. However caveat that with recognizing I upgraded from a 6S Plus so essentially the same sized phone but with edge to edge screen, speakers from top and bottom on horizontal viewing, and much faster innards.

I am coming from an iPhone 7plus. I really notice a difference in battery time with the max. It is a real improvement. The screen is great as well. I am still waiting for that new “can’t live without” feature from Apple. What will it be? Cheaper would be good too.

Excuse me for using the word galaxy because I have not utilized the latest Samsung. But I’m sure that I won’t ever have anything but an iPhone this is the best phone I’ve ever seen speed battery life size interface everything is perfect!

Ive been an apple fan for years now and I'm glad I upgraded from the 7 Plus to this one. Camera quality is amazing. I thought not having a home button would be a struggler but it was so easy to adjust to and now when I use a phone with a home button I find it difficult.
