I upgraded to the Xs Max from an iPhone 7 and the additional screen real estate is impressive. The camera with the optical 2x zoom is outstanding as well. Given the updates to iOS 12 along with the new A12 Bionic chip, this computer (not sure we can call it just a phone anymore) is fast and responsive. Face ID takes a little getting used to, as does not having a home button anymore. After a few days, however, the new "swipes" are second-nature and not obtrusive. The reasons for 4 stars (instead of 5) are two-fold. First, while this phone has a huge screen, you're paying a premium for it. At more than $1,000, this phone is the most expensive I have ever purchased. True, it replaces a camera, video camera, phone, portable device, etc., but that is still a lot of money. Second, if you have smaller hands, the size of this phone feels mammoth. Walking through the halls at work and sending a text with just one hand is a thing of the past for me. Even with the keyboard shifted to one side of the screen, I still find myself having to use two hands so that I do not drop this $1,000+ device. So, do you want the biggest screen and fastest processor in an iOS device, this is definitely it (if you can afford it and do not mind two-handed operation).

Coming from an 8 Plus, used to the size but increased screen is impressive. Quickly adapted to lack of home button and new gestures, literally 15 minutes and I was no longer feeling for the button. Camera is amazing, especially in low light. I highly recommend this phone.

I upgraded from my iPhone 6 (yes, I know it was old) but I am shocked how awesome this phone is. SPEED, FUNCTIONS, FACE UNLOCK, PHOTOS, etc. This thing is crazy fast and the photos are like professionals! My wife and I both got new phones and we LOVE them!

Upgraded from the 7 and I really like the bigger size, so much easier to view everything. Camara is great as well and I really enjoy the portrait mode....I can’t begin to say how awesome the pix look. If you are an apple person you’ll really enjoy this phone.

Coming from a 7Plus the only thing I'm blown away by is the battery life I'm rarely getting below 50% each day vs 15%. Probably because the screen turns off very quickly when the camera sees you are not looking at it. I'm very happy with Face ID. Having to make sure my face is in view and unblocked is way less of an issue than damp fingers with Touch ID. The bigger screen Is really not a huge improvement but I love swiping instead of a home button. The telephoto lense is used in low light much more which is so much better.

This phone is not for me it is for my wife and she likes it a lot beginning by the size the quality of the pictures the sound she likes the resolution the color of the photos she likes it when she’s is in face time calls she likes everything about this phone

My son and I went in looking to purchase the iphone x but were surprised that Best Buy already had the new iphones in limited stock. This iphone is incredible with the edge to edge and no home button. What a beautiful phone that will no doubt last for years to come.

When I got the iPhone X last year, my first thought was I wished it was larger. The iPhone XS Max accomplishes that. Not much else is different from the X except for the screen size and a better process and camera. If you like the X, no reason to upgrade to the XS.

Best Buy is the place to upgrade your phone as their staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. We bought this phone for screen size and the bigger storage to hold all the pictures of vacations, etc. It really was quite easy to get use to the "no home button".

I love this phone!!! I hate changing to a new phone but the apps and my contacts updated seamlessly! Photos are super clear, the large screen makes web browsing easy to see and the speaker clarity is amazing, especially for someone that is hard of hearing.

I love the size of this new cell phone. It still fits in my shirt pocket. Easier to type texts and hold with my large hands. I know memory space will not be an issue. Nice upgrade from an iPhone 6s which now I can wait another almost 4 years.

I have purchased every iPhone model for 10 years now. This by far is the best one made. I like that the screen is much larger, however I'm still able to hold the phone in one hand and press the functions. The camera is fantastic and images are terrific!

Everyone kept talking about how there wasn’t much difference in the X and this phone but it was certainly worth the money. The pictures are a lot clearer and my battery is so much better too.

Very happy. Traded in iPhone 7 which I never liked. The 10 does require some new learning though. There are still some things I have trouble figuring out how to do. Battery life is much longer than in the 7, and ease of use is superb.

I had the iPhone 8 before getting this one. I can tell a big difference with the quality of the photos and it only took me a couple of tries to get use to face recognition and not having a home button. I love this new phone and glad I got it!

A year ago I left Apple for Samsung as there hadn’t been any new exciting features or changes since my 6s. But as of Oct 2018, I have officially switched back and am IN LOVE with my XS Max. The battery life is phenomenal and the camera is amazing!

This phone has a beautiful display, great battery life and stellar build quality. I was looking at the Note 9 but once I picked this phone up and used it my mind was made up. The build quality is the best hands down compared to any other phone.

I’m still learning all the benefits to my new Iphone XS Max phone. So far it’s much better than the Iphone 6 as the 6 locks up on me all the time and won’t upload new emails for a long time and then decides to do it on its own and it won’t let me take pictures for a long time too. Very frustrated about the Iphone 6. I would have liked to have my former phone number transferred to my XS Max or at least an Oregon area code with a number that matches the Eugene area but neither happened. I was informed that Best Buy has no control over issuing or transferring phone numbers - you get what you get. My Iphone XS Max was a huge expense on a fixed income and will be my future lifetime phone. As recommended by Best Buy it’s got the otterbox and privacy screen to protect the highly expensive phone as well.

Great phone. Battery life will last you a full day or longer depending on the usage. I use mine heavily for games and videos and a single charge will usually last from early monerning till the next again day. Great camera. Great screen.

Every feature on this phone is a huge upgrade from my iPhone8 model. Love the display, the face recognition to open, the camera, the increased battery life, etc. The upgrade was definitely worth the cost.
