Bought this for my girlfriend on valentine's day. She definitely needed an upgrade from her previous iPhone 6s and she is totally in love with it now. It was an in-store purchase and there is no question about the quality of the product. It was top-notch. I am an android guy but after playing with it for couple of days now, I can say that this is the best iPhone out there. Top of the class display, radient colors, excellent camera (I rate it as second best after pixel), high performance (been 15 days and no lag as per my girlfriend) and excellent battery life. The only potential down-side would be the cost as it is definitely expensive but in my case, it was the right purchase and the right time to do it :)

Upgraded from iPhone 7 Plus. The phone physically is a bit smaller, but the screen size is larger, and the screen looks great. Camera is very sharp, makes the 7 plus camera look terrible. I really loved the finger print scanner, and was really uncertain about Face ID. But, I’m often wearing gloves at work, so the Face ID makes it so I can unlock with gloves on. Only thing I really don’t like... the price tag. Phones are getting ridiculously expensive.

I upgraded from the X and I’m glad I did. Even though there isn’t much difference between the two, the battery life on this phone is AMAZING! Took me about 3 or 4 days to get used to the size coming from the X, but after that is was all the way live. Pics and videos are top notch, super clear, and this phone is lighting fast! If you’re on the fence about getting this phone just jump off and get it, you’ll be glad you did.

I bought this as a birthday present for my adult daughter who had been an Apple fan since her teens. She didn’t upgrade her phone since 7plus because she didn’t see the new features to be worth the price. Now she loves her new phone and the cool features. She loves the screen size, the display, the Face ID and ease of use. It didn’t take her very long to get used to not having the home button anymore.

I upgraded from the iPhone 7 plus after two years. I was initially had medium expectations with the iPhone X s Max. I was amazed to see and use the abundance of new features. It took about 30 minutes for me to adjust to not having a 'home' button. The Face ID is spot on in any condition of light. Let me also add that using the Face ID to log into accounts is fast and more convenient than remembering and typing in passwords. I like watching movies on my phone. A lot. Having the iPhone Xs Max allows more screen real estate. Another improvement that has been made is the built-in speakers, They are LOUDER and deliver a more true stereo sound compared to the iPhone 7 plus. There are a lot more features that provide ease of access that I didn't know that I wanted. I cannot make any comparisons to the previous iPhone X and at how much if different from that model but I can say that if you are looking to upgrade then I believe that the Xs Max or even the Xs will make you feel great about upgrading. It is worth noting that Apple has made the latest models more sturdy and more water resistant. Time will tell if I will see that is true for me.

I love this phone so much! It’s probably the best iPhone yet. I had a 7 plus before and it’s a huge upgrade. The screen is amazing and the way it feels as you hold it is so much better. Getting rid of the home button was probably the best thing Apple could’ve done. Closing apps is so much easier and more intuitive. Face ID and AR are incredible. The phone is expesnsive, but worth it.

I have owned the 3GS, 4S, 5S, 6S Plus...and now the XS Max. The 6S Plus was such a great phone (I still use it when I work in Africa) that I skipped over the 7 & 8 Models. The XS Max is such a leap above the 6S Plus...and you don't really realize it until you go back to using the 6S Plus. As good as the 6S Plus is, you can't compare it to the XS Max. The improvements in battery life, battery charge time, operating speed, app load times, pic and vid quality, screen size and clarity, storage space, no home button needed (I can't stand using the home button on the 6S Plus now), and a dozen other minor improvements. The XS Max has completely replaced my iPad, I almost never pick up my iPad anymore, which was my mainstay for work and entertainment for like 5 years. In my own experience, the only downside with my XS Max seems to be the screen hardness. On all my iPhones over the years, I never used a screen protector. I have never needed to. My 6S Plus, which has been in service for about 5 - 6 years now with heavy usage in the jungles of West Africa, doesn't have a single nick or scratch on it. Hundreds of miles of being in my pants pocket thousands of hours of usage and nothing. My XS Max had dozens of very fine "scratches" all over the surface of the screen in a matter of days and significantly larger "gouges" that I can feel with my fingers within a month...with only being used in my office and home around the holidays when I bought it. You can't normally see the fine scratches and gouges during normal use, unless you catch the reflection off the screen just right when you have a dark background or a lot of ambient light. Research on the internet seems to point towards a newer screen coating that is actually scratching and not the normally very tough screen material, but a lot of other XS Max owners seem to be having similar issues. With the new model iPhones probably coming out in just a matter of weeks (Sept 2019), I would recommend holding off on an iPhone purchase until the next model is ready. I would still buy the XS Max, if I had to do it again, but for the first time would probably consider a screen protector. That is the only fault I can find with this excellent piece of technology. One mark reduction on Quality due to this screen issue.

This iPhone has all the things that I had wanted for sometime now. Spectacular display, big screen size, decent battery life. The gold color is very subtle when compared to the gold color that was on the iPhone 7 series. The phone is slightly heavier than the iPhone X and iPhone XS but it is worth it.

The camera is remarkable. Its low light capabilities are a nice touch over previous versions. Face ID is great. I was never happy with Touch ID as I have to wear gloves for work. It's not perfect, but it gets my face with different glasses, or no glasses at all. And the identification is pretty fast. The stereo speakers sound great when you turn the phone to landscape. It automatically reverts to mono audio in portrait mode. The glass body with stainless steel perimeter is absolutely beautiful. Multitasking, or at least having the phone doing multiple things simultaneously is buttery smooth. HDR content is amazing. If I turn off Siri and Bluetooth, an entire days use only drains my battery about 35 percent. Having an adapter for headphones is annoying, and bluetooth headphones clearly loose quality because of data compression. I don't mind the notch, but apple had to remove the ability to see the battery percentage

All day battery life. Amazing camera and display. The processor makes the phone blazing fast. I can definitely see this phone lasting me years before I need to upgrade again. Especially since I chose the 512GB option.

I love my new iPhone X’s Max. I upgraded from an iPhone 6s Plus. It took a little time to get used to not having a home button but everything works smoothly. I love the big screen, the picture is beautiful. It is lightening fast! I don’t have to charge it as often anymore.

The display is beautiful. Ease of use is phenomenal. IOS 12 allows an intuitive effortless experience. Speaker sound is great and the camera is wonderful. The quick processor, speedy modem and increased screen size make this phone a worthwhile purchase for anyone.

I was on the fence about buying this as my 8 Plus was great, but so happy that I did. The screen is amazing and the phone has a great battery life and processor. It’s also slightly smaller than the 8 Plus so fits in your hand better

Ive had this phone since late 2018 when it came out, yes there is the iPhone 11 out now but what they don't tell you is that this iPhone has the same processor as the iPhone 11 the only thing really that is different is the new battery they've put into the iPhone 11 that makes the true difference. This iPhone still to this day works just like I bought it brand new and I cant complain at all! Great product from apple maybe if they dropped the price a little bit being an older model that would be awesome other than that great great great product!

So I've had it for a few months. The camera is outstanding and I like having the big screen - mostly for looking at photos and editing photos. I think it might be a tad too big for me, personally. There's time's I'm holding the phone and my palm will hit the bottom and it pulls whatever app I'm using to a different screen. Oh and it's a little heavy. I guess those are my negatives. I do love the screen - it's gorgeous. I love that it has wireless charging (just put the phone down on a charging mat instead of reaching for a lightning cable and plugging it in). And iOS is great.

This iPhone is incredible. I'm glad to upgrade to this from my older iPhone 6S!! The features, battery life, and storage works perfect for me as a creative and business handling person as well as being comfortable with storing family and friend memories without concern of running out of space. Both front and rear cameras are incredible and the OLED screen is great for viewing everything from photos, movies, art, etc.!! If you don't mind having a super sized powerful phone at your reach with features that you can grow into, this is it!!

I held off on getting the original iPhone X because of the reviews. However, this iPhone version has been nothing but great. I went with the iPhone XS max and glad I did. Screen size is perfect (same as Galaxy S9 plus). Camera is unbelievable and the phone is very fast when surfing the web or using apps. The screen size is what really made me go with the XS max. Some people think it's too big, but I think it is a perfect size!

I love everything about the screen, from the size, too the display. It is also super fast and has a very long battery life.

LOVE my phone. Upgraded from a 6 plus to this and very happy with the decision. Definitley pricey and the front camera could be so much better but over all I love the phone. Super happy with the option for portrait mode on the front facing camera. I was apprehensive about having no home button but once I got my hands on it I knew o wanted it. Also I love that this phone actually feel like a phone not a huge tablet because it’s has more length in my option than width than previous iPhones.

Sold phones for years and never thought I’d be the guy to want a device this large but over the years (and after some hand cramps) i decided to go bigger! I’m glad i did! Love the screen, camera and the battery life is INSANE (granted i upgrade from an iphone6) the only issue i didn’t see coming was working out and having it in my pocket. Solved that problem with a Bluetooth headset now my phone is even more protected because it stays in my gym bag!
