At one point, this was just like an iPhone without the cellular radio. However, most phones have surpassed the iPod in speed, screen resolution and storage. This is still a nice media and web surfing device, but it's now far from state of the art.

What else is there to say. It is an iPod and it works great. A nice improvement over he previous gen. Best buy had a great price too.

The service was great and they explained the upgrades and differences from my older ipod.

So far she has only said, she wished the camera was better quality. Something I should of looked into a lot more closely before buying. Otherwise it's great. Battery seems to last her for a few days, then again she isn't all into social medias but she does do a few apps and music. The camera was the only bummer. I would recommend to someone who doesn't take too many pictures or doesn't really care for the best quality in pictures and especially in video.

Great little hand-held computer. Does everything the iphone can do as far as running apps. The camera is much improved over the 4th generation model. This one has 5 megapixels and a big difference. I have even watched tv on it and it is so easy on the eyes. I am very pleased with this purchase. Apple gets and A+ on this one.

Love it. Works like a champ and has brought much fun to our household. Wish the battery life was a little better though.

Bought this a long time ago. We all have other equipment now but used it tons. Pretty sure it still works years later!

Back to basics, a normal IPod, handy and very usefull. Easy to slip in your trouser and have all your music with you.

I haven't replaced my iPod in several years - didn't feel the need. But after 8 years of faithful service, even though it still works great, I decided it was time to upgrade. First of all, the fact that it has many of the same functions as the iPhone is awesome. As long as I have WiFi, I can use apps, play games, even use Facetime. After having it for about a month, I wish I'd gotten the 32gb. 16 is fine for music, but I do so much more with it that I wish I'd gone bigger. It's something to keep in mind if you intend this to be a smaller, more portable answer to a tablet. I'm not a fan of the size or finish. I highly recommend purchasing a case and screen protector at the same time you purchase one of these. It's a little small for my grip (and no, I don't have extra large hands) and a little bit slippery. Other than that, I'm thrilled with the purchase.

This is a gift to my 9yr old son for having good grades and being a good boy. So far so good and he's enjoying it.

Have they come a long way. Screen resolution way better. Great alternative to a phone for kids. They text anyway. J
