Purchased this iPod Touch for my 8 year old son for Christmas. It’s a great alternate to the iPhone he wanted. Pretty much does the same thing.

My daughter purchased this and loved it. Still a little high priced but worth it.

Good case to protect the basic shell of the Ipod, but you will still need a screen protector.

My daughter loves to record and make movies of her playing and stop motion. This is perfect for that. I will say the battery doesn't last long though.

I bought this since my iPod Nano would not charge. I like that it has WiFi and can download my podcasts without having to connect to iTunes. I still wish Apple made the Nano since I liked it’s smaller size but I am growing to love the iPod Touch.

The IPOD Touch is a great device. I love the Bluetooth. The capacity is all I will ever need. I use it on all my air travel. The music relaxes me.

At this point, I don't recommend upgrading if you're coming from the previous generation. Nothing is different, even aesthetics are akin to the older models. That said, it doesn't change the fact that iPod continues to hold a strong dominance in the mp3 player world.
