I used an iPod for years in the gym. I deliberately did not want a phone in the gym. It's my time and I don't want distractions or interruptions that having a phone can cause. When Apple decided to DC the iPod, I was forced to buy the Touch. It's too big, too expensive and it's shuffle logic is bizarre. Plays the same songs repeatedly regardless of how you select "Shuffle". And yes, I've read the directions. I know I I may be the lone holdout for the iPod. My rationale is that if there is a market for a $300K supercar then there has got to be a market, albeit small for a $100 iPod. C'mon Apple, throw us a bone.

I got this for my child to get him a phone like device. He is not ready for his own phone but it likes my iPhone and he loves it.

The new ipod has a great sound and love the fact I can turn on the airplane mode and listen to my music where there is no wifi.

Ipod works very well. Used itunes and loaded about 1000 songs! Can play them with out wifi. If you have internet you can use utube and stream songs. You can use it as a mini computer and brouse the internet. Very useful!
