    Two of my daughters, 11 & 9, wanted iPhones for Christmas, but I wasn't ready to start them with iPhones as their first device. One...data plans end up being a fortune & two...they do NOT need un-tethered access to the internet. If you set the iPod up right, with all kinds of restrictions, they can safely do everything an iPhone can do as long as they have Wi-Fi.

    My daughter loves her pink iPod! It is great for road trips, vacations, and communicating when necessary. Purchased a screen protector and solid case so my daughter won’t break it if she drops it. We brought the kids’ iPods on a cruise and we were able to communicate with other Apple devices via text. Definitely lives up to Apple products and standards!
