It's pretty much a super skinny iPhone SE without cellular capability. It's got the same chip as the iPhone 7, which is still capable, but definitely not cutting edge. They really need to update this in 2021 or get rid of it, though. I bought it to see if I would use it as a music player, but since I have an iPhone mini 12, my phone is still small enough I would rather just carry it with me instead of trying to use this one for music and my phone for everything else. I'm going to return it. If you have an iPhone Pro Max, this thing might come in handy for those times you want to go running with your AirPods. If you're like me, however, and you have a Mini, or an Apple Watch with LTE (or even just a wifi watch with music downloaded onto the watch), this won't be very useful. The iPod doesn't really do anything very well that my iPhone and watch combo can't do.

This is a great MP3 player. I think by now, people have determined that you pay a lot for the Apple brand. However, the build quality is higher quality than most other brands with comparable items. I wish they had updated it to have more of the same features as a phone, but I think they have just buried the idea of improving it.

Good for kids, bought for a gift for my nieces....

Learning to "speak" in Apple was my complaint. It seems that the iPod is old tech and very difficult to get information that helps me learn the tech. I went through multiple tutorials trying to convert mp3 to iTune but, finally an employee at the Mac Guys helped me.

My daughter loves everything about the iPod, especially since she doesn't have a cell phone. Message and facetime family & friends, watch and create videos, etc. Fun!

Still a good choice for a child who is not ready for a real cell phone, you have access with wi fi to many apps, and you can use this for wi fi calling and texting. Also it’s a great music player for adults.

Got this for my 11 year old sone for his birthday and he just loves it. Our family has iPhones so when he has WiFi we can message and FaceTime. Great purchase!

the battery life doesn't last long but everything works amazing

Not like the old iPods. The new iPods are way better than the older versions . I use my iPod in my truck for my iTunes playlists. Works great.

It does everything you'd expect, and for a kid the small size isn't an issue. I think it is funny to bother making a display this small anymore, but I guess it is supposed to be a music player with bonus app capabilities. Anyway, works like any other Apple product, just too small for me, kid loves it, though.

Myself and husband was always a Samsung people but used this for his music. Bluetooth connects to his speaker so he can use it for working out. Its 2022 and it’s still working.

This is my 3rd iPod and I love them. I have the original iPod and a smaller newer version that doesn’t hold as many songs. I wanted a newer touch version. I love them all

Great Purchase! I can now listen to my audiobooks. I truly wish Apple could offer discounts to the elderly. However, I was able to purchase my iPod Touch /7th generation from Best Buy quickly and with great service.

I use this for my 10GB of music and have added things like a VOIP phone to it. Works great! The only thing I think it is missing is a fingerprint sensor like the phones so I don't have to put in a code to open it. A hidden feature I love is the ability to use the iPod as a directional mic and have the sound pump to my AirPods...

My son was begging for a phone. Instead we got him an iPod touch. He loved it. To my surprise he was using it like a phone texting and calling friends while on WiFi. He was using it so much like a phone we started saying put your phone away.

The device works wells and sounds good. I have a serious issue with its ability to show album covers. I installed about one hundred albums, each of which had artist name, trck names, etc. But the ipod could not find the album covers for about 80% of them. I searched the web for solutions, but there weren't any except manually adding the album art. Admittedly, most of music is classical, but manually downloading album covers and adding them was time consuming. Being a software engineer, I know that there was enough information contained in the meta data for the albums that the ipod should find the covers - after all, I found them by searching using the artist and the composer and the primary name of the work.
