Another Great Product from Apple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This IPod touch is great. I have owned this for about a month now and I love it. The power button broke on my old 4th generation iPod touch. This one is so much better than my old one. The camera alone is so much better. My 4th generation had .7 megapixels and no flash. This one has flash and a 5 megapixel camera. The bigger screen is a nice touch making videos more enjoyable. The only negatives pertain to storage and the new lightning connector. First as far as storage, I wish this was expandable. I bought the 64 GB which is the biggest. I wish apple would make an iPod that was expandable using a micro SD memory card like many smart phones. I have several movies on my iPod and I have more but I can’t fit them since I’m almost full. The other negative is the lightning connector. Everything from apple used to use the 30 pin connector. Now they switched to the lightning port. Now all of my old chargers, wires and stereos don’t work with the new apple equipment. Now apple has come out with a converter that will allow you to use all of your old 30 pin products. They have two versions. One is really small and the other one has a short cord. BE AWARE. I have an otterbox case on my iPod. Because of the case thickness the smaller adapter won’t work. The lightning plug isn’t long enough; which means I had to go with the other model that has a short cord. The only difference between the two is the price. The one with the cord cost $10 more but is need if you have a case on your iPod.

The Perfect Device For Your Tunes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a whole lot I can say that hasn't already been said about the iPod Touch. It's versatile & very easy to use. The 64GB storage capacity is more than enough for the majority of users.

Great...but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased so that nearly all of my music could travel with me for car or trips. The Touch 5 is vastly improved from the 4th generation. The issue is with Apple itself. Without warning the device will wipe out any songs not purchased through iTunes. After speaking with Apple the problem was corrected for several months, but was wiped clean again. So far so good after reloading....but I still don't trust it.

Great Replacement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this product for my husband who had a 160gb iPod Classic that stopped working. We were told that model was discontinued so we opted for the 64gb touch. So far so good. He is enjoying it and has space for all his music for now.

Better than the 4th generation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This iPod is slimmer and longer. The only problem that we encountered was that it does bend if you put in in your back pocket if you sit for a while. Thankfully we has insurance. But other than that it is great.

My first iPod ever! Love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I ever had an iPod of any model, as well as the first portable music player of any brand. I decided to buy, as an early birthday gift for myself, the 16GB iPod Touch. However, when transferring my iTunes music library to the device, I began to run out of room on it! This really shook me up, and even though I was a little bit past the return period, I contacted the Best Buy store where I made the original purchase, and they allowed me to make an exchange/upgrade. I decided to get the 64GB, because of my growing music collection. I only have a small number of apps and games on the iPod--and they are either exclusive to Apple or their functionality is better on the iPod; I use my Android tablet for everything else. I plan to use this iPod mainly for music, and I transferred from my computer a few pics to use as wallpaper. Overall, I really enjoy this device. As stated previously, I wish the AC adapter could be included, and the earphones were ill-fitting--they kept slipping out of my ears. I've been using my Sony earphones, and they sound just as good and fit better. If you want the functions of the iPhone, but can't afford or don't want it, then the iPod touch is the next best thing!

Love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping for Apple to announce a 128 GB version of it's popular music player, but October came and went, and nothing was announced. I went ahead and reluctantly purchased this one. While the storage is not enough for my collection, the device is just about perfect. I am moving over from a FIRST GEN iPod Touch 8 GB! This is a beautiful music player that looks and feels just about perfect!

Good but not a true replacement for iPod Classic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace my 160gb iPod classic and was disappointed to find that Apple had discontinued it. So I purchased this instead. With 64gb of storage, a lot of music had to be removed. And of course this is not really an iPod. Instead it is a very small iPad with all of the (unwanted) bells and whistles found on iPads...just in a very small size. Or perhaps you could call it an iPhone without the capability of making phone calls. Since I already have an iPad I just wanted a dedicated iPod....but that was not to be. Functionality is okay but much more complicated that with the iPod classic. How about a simple one touch move to skip a song or go back to the prior one...nope. Too much space is taken by unnecessary apps. This should be sold as an iPad mini mini....not as an iPod. If you are looking for a dedicated mp3 player then I would suggest you look elsewhere. If you are looking for a very small iPad (or an iPhone that doesn't make phone calls) but has some ability to also play music then you might want to consider this.

SOUNDS GREAT BUT SO CONFUSING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this a while now. It is great sounding, great looking, and the color and graphics are great. I do not like that it keeps going to other pages when I am listening. The shake shuffle is too sensitive at times and then sometimes you need to shake it extremely hard. I am not a technical person, and I wish it was like the fly weel that I replaced it with.

iPod 5th Generation is junk!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 5th Generation iPod Touch 64gb and have just returned it. I thought that I was upgrading from the 4th Generation. I plugged it into the USB port in my car, the player played fine. When I got into my car the next morning, the player was dead, the battery totally dead. My iPod 4th works great and the battery does not die in the same setup. Next, I swapped the iPod 4th with the 5th in my RV. The iPod 5th played great until I plugged in the power. When I plugged in the power, there was a loud buzzing noise that drowned out the music. Since the iPod 5th has to be continuously powered to avoid a dead battery, you will be listening to the unbearable buzzing continuously. So, the iPod was useless in my car and useless in my RV. It is a useless brick and absolutely worthless to me-it is junk. The 4th Generation iPod works well in all situations. It seems Apple has screwed up with their new iPod. My opinion is stick with the 4th Generation, it works and the 5th Generation does not. I cannot understand why Apple would not check with the car manufactures to make sure it is compatible with their systems. Also Apple needs to figure out the buzzing issue when the iPod is plugged into power.
