    More versatile than I expected!

I bought an open box model since it was $9 less. Tested every button out and it works great. I had read that you couldn't use both usb ports on this thing at the same time, but apparently that's not true because I can use them both at the same time. I'm using a wireless mouse and charging my phone right now. I also tested using both usb ports at the same time by syncing/charging my iPhone with iTunes while transferring a file to a usb drive and it worked fine. Keys have no latency and wireless mouse also has no latency. For those of you using Pro Tools; the iLok fits under the keyboard perfectly into the usb port. No bend at all. You can use a wireless mouse and whatnot plugged into the other usb port at the same time which is why I gave this 5 stars because that essentially gives me an extra usb port to plug in an interface or external drive without having to buy a usb hub. I'll probably have to buy a hub anyway but at least I have an extra usb port now for my iLok. I wish Apple would have included more usb 3.0 ports on their 2015 and older MacBook Pros. The keys feel good. The only downside to this keyboard is that some usb thumb drives might not fit well under the keyboard & into the usb ports since they may be too thick. I imagine you could solve that by buying a short usb extension cable. Any thumb drives thicker than a millimeter probably won't fit under the keyboard & into the ports without buying an extension cable. The keyboard also comes with an approximately 3ft extension cable to extend the wire going to the computer. This extension cable cannot be used as an extension cable for the usb ports on the keyboard because of a notch that only fits with the notch at the usb side of the keyboard wire. These are things I didn't learn by reading other people's reviews so I hope this helps some people make the right decision!

I'm a huge fan of this keyboard for a Mac. It feels great and is completely solid. It's also a beautiful design that feels timeless. I've actually bought extras in case they stop making it.

This is a really small keyboard and unfortunately it just didn't do the trick for me. Also, I didn't like the fact that it didn't have LED lights.

We replaced the cordless keyboard with this keyboard so my wife could have the numeric keypad. Keyboard and numeric pad work fine. The cord is not log enough to go under the desk (my keyboard sits on a pull out slider shelf) so the cord is in the way as it lies on top of the desk.

If you are looking for a keyboard with 10 key this is an excellent choice. Apple once again takes something average and turns it in to something beyond our expectations. This keyboard is shows off premium workmanship and design that apple puts into all of it's devices.

    Excellent accessory for Macbooks

After switching exclusively to a MacBook Pro for work, I despised trying to use a Windows keyboard so I ultimately ended up hunching over the laptop until it started giving my wrists and back fits. This keyboard is an excellent alternative to the more expensive bluetooth version if you intend to use it at a dedicated desk at work or home. I have since purchased a second for my home office and both have held up extremely well. The feedback feels just like working directly on the MacBook, but it's much easier on your wrists and back to be able to sit back away from the screen. Definitely recommend!

    Great Keyboard

I wanted a keyboard in first place because I was setting up a new desk for me with a new monitor. I was in a dilemma whether to go with the wireless or the wired one. And I chose the wired because I won't be moving around if I'm gonna use my desk, else if I were to move I would use the laptop in hand. Moreover wireless keyboard has the same number of keys as MacBook Pro Retina 13". This one is pretty light & thin, perfect to use, the keys are very good to click and great looking. And for its great price I couldn't be happier with this model.

Solid keyboard. It works. I love having the number pad. I'm not sure what else you would need to know...if you are shopping for an Apple keyboard and don't want bluetooth or want a built-in number pad, I think this is the best option.

Needed a replacement after a move

This keyboard is a requirement if you need a keyboard with 10-key support. If you are used to the keyboard that comes with the Mac then this keyboard will be like an old hat. Works just as well. I would like for the built in USB ports to supply more power for other devices (phones especially). Price is a bit outrageous but that is nothing new with Apple products.

I got this mostly to use on my home office when working with excel files just for the numeric keyboard. The looks and feel are great. Even when it is larger than the wireless smart keyboard it does not takes much space of the desk and it looks great. Just plug and is ready to use. if this were wireless would be perfect but just as it is works great.

I bought this keyboard for my Mac mini first, because you need a keyboard but more importantly, I wanted a keyboard with the numeric keypad. I also liked the fact that it was NOT wireless so that I never need to worry about batteries for a keyboard. I love typing on it. Easy on the fingers and wrist.

A solid keyboard and great accessory for the iMac

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As an everyday keyboard, this more than does the trick. Typing and navigation of the keys are both very smooth, and button response time is great as well. The color scheme is also easy on the eyes and matches perfectly with the iMac computers. For those who work with data entry, having the numeric keypad is a very useful tool. Also featured is a backspace key which deletes characters to the cursor's left; a useful function not found on the Apple wireless keyboard. For some, this keyboard being wired may be a deal-breaker, but I don't mind it at all. I will never have to worry about replacing or recharging separate batteries to operate it, and as someone who only types at the desk, being connected to the iMac doesn't restrict or bother me. As it is connected to the actual iMac, you won't be able to power on the computer using the keyboard, but this doesn't really matter for me personally. Overall, the Apple keyboard with numeric keypad is a great accessory for the iMac.

Nice that it also has the number keys. Sleek and clean streamlined as you would expect from an apple product. Sub ports on each side of the keyboard make a true convenience. I frequently use to charge and sync my other apple devices like iPhones and iPads. You would not be disappointed in this purchase
