Love the tactile feel of this keyboard. Apple got it right with keyboards.

A good keyboard if you like a low profile keyboard with full numeric pad

I chose this keyboard because of my upgrade to a new Mac. Much bigger and easier on the hands. I didn't mind the cord because they give you an extended cord to move it away from the screen. Number keypad is an extra bonus.

The good: It is a really nicely made keyboard. I choose it over the wireless one because it has the numeric keypad. The bad: the keys aren't backlit, it is wired.

I use the Apple wired keyboard with my Mac Pro tower. Although my tower came with the Mac wireless keyboard, It never impressed me and at times it would lose connectivity. That got old quick, especially when you are doing photo work or writing. So I got my first Apple wired keyboard about 4.5 years ago, and it was still working great, until I spilled coffee,(yikes), on it. I turned it over right away, pulled the key covers off, tamped it with an absorbent cloth, fan dried it, and to my surprise, the next day it worked, but only lasted for about a month before several keys just went bad. Anyway, glad I had my wireless as a backup,(which I have been using with my iPad). The next day I went and got this wired keyboard. I have tried other keyboards, but for the functionality, compatibility, and price point, can't go wrong with this board. I like the solid feel of the keys,(I am not a soft handed person), and the weight of the board, stays were I put it. Love the dual usb ports, one on each side, I put my mouse mini usb wireless receiver in one side and my Wacom Intuos tablet connected to the other side. Has a nice long cord,(due to the extension cable that comes with it), that I run down to the back of my tower under my desk. HINT! If you get this board and find that the numeric keypad does not work, goto System preferences>Accessibility>Mouse and Trackpad>and uncheck, "Enable Mouse Keys". I do not know why this went on, (checked), with the new board. Thought I had a problem at first, but all good after I unchecked it. I use my computer about 40 hours a week for photography work, emailing, surfing, letters, and lesson plans, oh yeah and once in a while to write a review. I have bought this board as a gift for a friend and they were very grateful for it. If you have a Mac and want a good, solid, reliable board, here it is. I ordered it as a store pickup and Best Buy had it ready and the young lady was great and had me in and out right away.

Had a wireless and the batteries would die every other day. This is better

If you are tired of having to replace batteries on the wireless keyboard, then this is the way to go. It seemed like every week I was replacing my rechargeable batteries. I don't mind having a wire. The numeric keypad is excellent as well.

Great for iMac. Has two USB inputs that make accessories easy to use.

This keyboard is a must for anyone who prefers a ten key number pad.
