I purchased this adapter cable for my new iphone to connect to my vehicle. My vehicle comes with an iphone connector already installed which connects to the car's audio system and acts as the iphone charger. This cable allows me to continue using the device in my car.

Got this for my car that only have the old 30pin but I needed to plug in a newer iPhone. Purchased this and hooked it up. No problems. Play music and anything else through the speakers and allow me to still control my phone from the dashboard of the car. Also chargers the phone.

I have a Bose that has the 30-pin...I have a lightning to 30-pin but wanted the cable for my iPad. I can't use the one without the cable for my iPad. I should have bought this one to begin with. Works great...no sound issues at all!

Just bought this to connect my iPhone 5 to my Audi A6 MMI. Works like a charm. I can play iTunes Radio as well as apps. My Audi MMI volume control works perfectly.

I recently purchased this product & was disappointed that it did not work with my iPhone 6 Lifeproof case. The lightening end of this adapter is just fatter than the lightening end of the charging cable that came with my phone. I returned the adapter & purchased another Apple lightening charging cable, which thankfully is the same size as the charging cable that came with my iPhone 6.

I use this adapter mainly in my car and it works great. Plays audio and charges the phone at the same time. Couldn't be happier.

I love this product the sound is great.. It fits perfectly in my case I have an otterbox it added a longer cord to my charger my controls still work with my radio I luv it!!!

Great adaptor if you want to reuse the old cables instead of buying more.

Bought to use on an Ihealth BP monitor with the old 30 pin connector. BP monitor works great connected to new iPad with lightning connector.

This cable is very useful if you have 30-pin accessories that you still want to use. I just wish it were a little longer. 18 inches would be perfect for my needs.

Got this for my car so I can listen to music on my way to work etc. Only thing that I don't like is that it's kind of short.

Why did Apple produced a product slightly larger than the original? When I have my Belkin case on, I can't gently plug my device in to charge. Instead, I have to jab it, forcing it to fit through the case. Ridiculous! Now I have to look for another case and hope it will not produce the same problem. Other than that, I think the cord is shorter than I image it to be but it gets the job done.

I was in a rush to find an adapter cable for my car which was pre-wired before Apple decided to switch to the new lighting adapter (thanks Apple). This adapter works but there has to be some cheaper alternative that works just as well but you don't have to pay the premium to have that apple logo on the packaging. Just wish that Best Buy carried an alternative.

If you are getting this adapter for the cord extension as I did, well be ready to have a REALLY short extension. I think that is why Apple does not show the whole cord on the front of the box because they knew we all would buy the $29 version instead of the $39 one. It is not worth the $10 more!! I connected it to the dock in my car and it was too short for my phone to sit up from top to bottom or even to lay down on its back. If you are using SIRI it is somewhat OK because she can do most of the things for you but we all know SIRI can't do everything for us. There are those times when you have to pick up the phone and that is when you run into the problem of not having enough cord to reach from the 30 pin dock to you. I mean don't get me wrong, it works but for $10 more, the cord should be at least the same size as the charging cord. And WHY don't they have any adaptors available? They knew the demand would be high seeing that almost everyone in the world has a iPhone or iPod which means they will be connecting it to their older accessories. I'm just saying!!
