The adapter works as advertised. It allows my new iPhone to work with the system in my car which has the older 30 pin connector. The problem is that it isn't compatible with a phone in it's case. The lightning tab is directly connected to the 30 pin connector.

This 30 pin adapter works with all my accessories and is so handy to have when needed.

Product was what I was looking for. The connection of my ipod to my older speaker works well.

This adapter allows you to use your iPhone 5, 6, 7, 8, X with most if not any device that takes the 30 pin plug of the 4 or earlier series iPhones. But the design doesn't take into account cases or docks so the lightening connection may not e long enough to fit.

It allows me to use all those 30 pin connectors I have accumulated over the past decade.

Would be perfect if it also charged at the same time
