Tried to use adapter with 30 pin AV adapter, so it could be used with new iPad Pro. Received message that it was not compatible. Went out and bought lightening AV adapter, which worked fine.

The pins are not long enough to make contact with the device if it has a protective cover. All phones need a cover for protection. Apple needs to redesign. I had to give it 1 star it really should have 0 stars.

The lighting plug on this adapter in centered. The lightning input on my iPod nano is offset? looks dumb. I returned it. Also, cant be plugged in if there is a case on the device.

This will not work without removing any case you have on your iPhone. I have the thinnest available case and it still didn't work without removing the case first.

Did not work!! Bought this after all the reviews I read that said it wouldn't work. And nope I should've listened. Save your time and money don't buy!

it does not fit my device because of the thickness of the protective jacket; the male end of the adapter needs a neck on it to make sure it can fit into the socket

I was told when I purchased the item that I could use this to convert my old tv wires for my new iPad and watch it on my tv but it did not work.

this adapter device was sold to me by a Best Buy staff member but did not work on my iPod when I got it home; wasted 30 dollars

Bought this to connect my iPhone X to a wiring harness in my car that had a 30 pin connector and would not work.

This item doesn't work with my case on, ya they didn't tell me that when I purchased it. I even told him which case I have..not happy........

I'm not a fan of all Apple products for this very reason, everything this proprietary just like the fashionable iwatch.

Because the base is so wide it won't work with a case. Pretty much useless unless you don't have a case on the phone.

the body of the unit is too big to work with most protective cases.... also way too pricey, but it has an Apple symbol on it

Unless you plan to remove your phone from its protective case this adapter is worthless. The pin is not long enough.

This adapter does not fit on an iphone 6+ that has a case. What's the point?

I have the thinnest case available and this still wouldn't make a connection. Returned immediately.

I have a simple case for my iPhone 7 and you have to take the phone out of the case to use the adaptor

Does not fit phone when there is a case on phone. The nipple to plug into phone is not near long enough

Thought it could handle playback and charging at the same time but it could not charge my iPhone.

The devise will only work when iPad or iPhone is out of its case. That is enough to be a waste of money to me.
