I bought this because I needed something to allow my new iphone 6plus to fit in a soundbar that I had. Adapter would have done its job, but the darn phone was too wide!

I got this adapter to work with my older iPod connecter for my receiver. It plays but doesn't charge, so I probably will just use my old iPod on this receiver.

Love my iPhone, but Apple strikes again with another proprietary little overpriced bit of white plastic. Because of the wide design, it can't be used with any kind of protective case - you'll need to take that off whenever you want to use this adapter. And my iHome clock radio got fried when I used this on it. Probably good if you just want to adapt an older USB charge cord, but it might be easier (and cheaper) to just buy some new lightning ones. Has its use, but buyer beware.

While the adapter works with my iPad, the plug is NOT long enough to plug into my iphone with the Otterbox cover on it. The adapter should have a LONGER PLUG!!!

Good in theory, but adapter is not long enough to use with any case. Must take phone out of case in order to use for charging. Once plugged in, works very well.

I use my iPod Classic in my car through my USB connection. Sometimes I need to hook my iPhone 5 for navigation. Instead of switching out the cords, this accessory allows me to just add this to the old iPhone cord and use my phone. Very convenient. Only issues, the base of it is wide, so I have to take my case off my phone to use. Also, the price. It costs $30 and USB cords are typically $15. Otherwise, it's great and helps me go back and forth between my Classic and my iPhone with ease

Bought this to convert my newer Ipod to an older player. Doesn't always work.

I gave it to my girlfriend for her to use it with another product. I think the other product wasn't working properly, so I'm not sure how to judge this one.

It works well except it doesn't fit into the charging port with a case on the phone. So every time I used it I have to take the case off which is annoying.

My daughter needed an adapter for her iPhone SE and the Sony stereo/alarm system that I bought her a few years ago. I looked at some off-brand adapters, but none of them provide audio pass through, which is the primary reason she uses it. That's why those adapters are cheaper than the Apple one. The Apple product works perfectly and allowed us to keep using a rather expensive system. It was worth the cost for us.

Who would have thunk you could still find an adapter for the old iPod cable? Best Buy had it. My new car does not have an Aux cable port, so I have to use a charger/cable that broadcasts a radio frequency. I had one for my 2nd gen iPod, which I still use when I feel like going Old School. Now I can use it for my new phone. It would be perfect if the adapter portion were longer, so I could use it without removing my iPhone case.

Most of our chargers have the previous iPhone connector so therefore this lightning adaptor is required. Unfair that we need to make this purchase

I have an older portable Bose speaker. Absolutely loved it and used when I had my iPhone 4. Needless to say you had to use a 30 pin. Now that have long ago upgraded my phone, I had to use an axillary cable to play music, but couldn't use the remote for the Bose. With this adapter, I am able to use my new iPhone 7 and still utilize the remote for the Bose. I had to have it, even though it's more then I wanted to pay at 29.99 for a small adapter. I am happy with my purchased, and it is an Apple product.

I feel this little gadget is priced high, but it's needed if you want to use 30-pin devices on your Apple device. So far it's working as expected.

The device works well if you only use Apple cords and if you do not have a case on your phone. Don't use if you use after market cables or a case...

Adapter works fine but with certain iPhone 6 protective cases there is interference and I have to remove the phone from the case for it to work

I got this to use with my old iPad 2 camera card reader and USB 30 pin adapter set. This way I do need to buy new adapters for my new iPad Pro. I had read that the cheaper versions fell apart, so I bought the Apple version, before it is discontinued. I gave it 4 stars since the pin is not long enough to push in with a case. On my iPad Pro, I can move my case aside and do not need to remove it, so it still works.

We needed a adapter to stream videos from my sons go pro to his I- pad. It took two associates a very long time to figure out what I needed.

I have received it. I have not had an opportunity to use it; however with that being said, I believe it will work since it has the necessary adapting requirements. I got this because my Logitech speakers for my classic iPod uses obviously the larger connection and I needed the smaller connection to be able to use my newer touch iPod. I was very pleased to be able to find this adapter.

This plug is good for a stationary iPhone but for a iPhone that gets plugged in and removed a lot it's sometimes don't connect on first try.
