I bought one and it did not work! On my iPad, my sons iPad, on any iPods in our house or a friends that we tried. It was returned and refunded. Another was then bought and I have used it once and it worked perfectly! Remember to insert memory card in adapter THEN connect to iPad!

The Apple Lighting to Secure Digital Adapter is an easy to use method in which one may transfer photographs and video from a secure digital card to a fourth generation iPad or iPad mini.

To me this is an essential item when shooting pics. You can easily pop in your digital camera card and the iPad will read raw or jpeg images. Fast transfer - apple quality.

Works well; only if preview images were larger on Ipad I'd give it 5 stars.

The connector works but some times my iPad Mini 2 has trouble reading the images. I have a lot of pictures in my 64GB SD card so it takes some time to go through all of them even when it reads the images. If your device supports it, maybe the lightning to USB adaptor might work better.

I own an iPad 3rd Generation and an iPad Mini with Retina Display. I purchased the adapter for my 3rd Generation soon after I purchased it. After I purchased the iPad mini I went on vacation and realized that I didn't have the adapter for my iPad mini. As soon as I returned from vacation, I purchased the adapter for my iPad mini. It works just as fast and good as the adapter for my 3rd Generation iPad. I highly recommend purchasing the adapter if you will take pictures with a camera and want to transfer them to the iPad mini. I wouldn't be without mine.
