This unit allows me to load photos from my camera's SD card into folders on my iPad. It does exactly that. **BUT!** Be aware of your file names before trying to transfer photos! I'll often rename my photos after I edit them. For instance, if I'm shooting the New York Jets, I might give an edited photo the file name "nyj01". Well, the iPad doesn't recognize that. The file name has to be numerical: "img_0001", and the like. Once I figured that out, I was a happy guy.
