The fact that it does not work on the iPhone as well as the iPad makes me reconsider purchasing apple products in the future.

answered my problem of getting pics from camera

With this the memory card is inserted and then the device connects to lightening plug port of tablet. It works like a charm and allows you to delete the photos from card if you desire.

Great accessory for transferring photos
