I wanted to use an external DAC (AudioQuest's DragonFly Black) with my iPhone and needed a this adapter so I can feed the DAC the data from the iPhone. It works as advertised and and I'm extremely happy with it. I'm going to compared it to some non-Apple adapters when I get the ones I ordered online.

The item is expensive but I have to use it with the dragonfly for it to work on my mobile iPhone.

I love this adapter. It makes it very easy to download pictures from my canon to my IPad.

This works great to sync pictures from a digital camera to your IPad. I have an older camera and a new Ipad Air and used it on vacation. It transferred the pictures beautifully. The pictures then uploaded to the cloud and my kids instantly had the photos on my home computer!

This is a fantastic adapter/camera connection kit overall! I understand a lot of people are not fans of adapters manufactured by Apple. I would say the main reason for that, In my opinion is the price. That would be the only thing I would critique as far as Apple accessories in general. Sure you can always purchase an Apple authorized product from a third-party company. This is something I’ve done a few times myself, and there are some great brands out there that offer good quality, but more importantly compatibility with Apple products. However, when it comes to overall compatibility Apple is amazing probably the best when it comes to using different accessories within the apple ecosystem that are actually made by Apple. You may pay an arm and a leg for it, but I don’t think many people can argue the fact that they just work.I’m sure that’s the whole point of why Apple brand products are the price they typically are, but again in my opinion if you have Apple products and you want to connect them to something else,apple adapters will make that happen. To be honest with you I’m more of a PC guy myself, but Apple is ahead of almost any company When it comes to their products working together seamlessly. As far as this lightning connector to USB, I cannot help but give it five stars because I’ve had it for many years, and I’ve never had an issue with it. So if anybody is trying to connect their Apple device to any kind of Other devices via USB… this will do the job without you having to second-guess or shop around for the thousands of options that are out there when it comes to adapters. Again I’m a PC fan first, but I’m also a music producer. So the fact that I know if I ever need to connect any of my devices to other peripherals and not have to worry whether or not it will work…that piece of mind is worth the money at the end of the day.

I have taken thousands of pictures over the past few years and found that I was leaving them on the memory cards. This device easily connected to my camera and allowed me to transfer those pictures directly to my iPhone or my iPad. I am loving all of the pictures that I hadn't seen in years.

I had went to bestbuy looking for the SD card adapter but were sold out. So got this and works just as good. Only you have to plug in into the camera and power it on otherwise it won’t work

Recent Apple model has lightening connector, so I have had a problem to download photos from my digital camera to iPadmini. This adapter is perfect to connect lightening connector on iPadmini and to USB. I wish the price is cheaper.

I was so happy to have Dillon from Apple support recommend this product. I was having a difficult time trying to transfer my photos from my camera to my new iPad. I love that it is easy to use and very fast.

This adapter allows anything with a USB interface to be connected to an iPad or other iOS device, although its main purpose is to connect a camera. I bought this for use on a cruise, planning to download all my pictures to my iPad. I also have a Lightning-to-SD Card interface, and I initially used that because I forgot to bring the camera cable. Once I got the cable, I found that transferring via the camera was faster than transferring through the SD card. That may or may not always be the case, so I think it makes sense to get both -- except if you don't use SD cards. The USB adapter is something I consider essential.

This has been a great help in downloading pictures from my camera to my Ipad. Before I had to load them to my computer and then send them to my Ipad. What a great tool.

Best item for transferring photos from your Camara to your iPad for quick viewing and uploading. No need to wait to get to your computer if you have one of those DSR Camara that doesn't come with wifi.

This cable works great for transferring photos to your iPad. It also works great for connecting a usb midi keyboard to use in apps such as GarageBand.

I needed another CCK for connecting USB hardware to my iPad. This device allows me to connect controllers and keyboards. Amazing how easy it is to use.

I'm a fan of accessories that make it easier to use multiple devices together. So, it was no surprise to me that this item worked and advertised. I own the older model for previous iPad and enjoy this one too.

Just like everything apple, over priced for something so simple. It does what it’s supposed to do, but off brands are cheaper and work the same.

I wanted to use this with an iPad Air 2 but get an error about insufficient power. Will need a powered USB hub to provide the current needed. Works great otherwise.

It works for what I needed it for. Most other things it is plugged into do not work saying it requires too much power.

This connector is great. However, the iPad is still too limited for serious photography work. I am a professional photographer, and I have wanted to use an iPad for a long time as the first place that I view and begin editing photos. I shoot in RAW, and I edit all my photos in Lightroom on my Mac. While I can import photos to the iPad, I find I usually have to start all over again from my Mac. The iPad operating system, and apps just aren't there yet for pro photographers. However, this connector still does its job. It also allows you to hook up other devices like keyboards, microphones, and midi devices to an iPad too, so it's for more than just photos.
