Works excellently, small and convenient performs exactly the way an adapter should. However it is a little on the expensive side for a small peice of equipment.

    Adapter-good, iPad software - quirky

The adapter paired well with my card reader. Happy to finally upload photos directly to my iPad. Note- if the photo ‘card’ comes directly from the camera, the iPad recognizes the files as photos and will open in photos. If the photos source from a computer (or elsewhere?) the iPad will NOT recognize the files as photographs. You’ll need to open ‘folders’ to find them. Then move them to the Photos app. I hope Apple can fix this oddity.

I bought this cable to transfer pictures from my 5D Mark iii to my iPhone. It worked like a charm. I tried buying a cheaper cable and it did not work, so this is worth every penny!

Easy to use and works well with reading memory sticks from cameras, however when we connected a flash drive with a lot of data, the 128 GB IPad Pro would not open the drive stating "too much data."

    Consider Power

This will work for connecting a powered camera to your iPad or iPhone but if you try to connect a usb thumb drive or similar, you'll most likely get a notice that it requires too much power. As long as you plan on using this to connect your camera via USB, it will work fantastic. If you want more versatility, then get the Lightning to USB3 adapter which allows you to connect both a USB drive and your Lightning power supply. This pass-through power allows your iPad or iPhone to read the thumb drive. With the new iPadOS coming this fall, you'd most likely be better off with the powered connector.

Was unable to use the device until I paired it with a powered USB hub then it worked like a charm. I was able to open thumb drives and my Panasonic camera to retrieve photos etc which is what I needed. Without the powered hub it just gave me an error message that the device I Plugged in drew too much power and was unusable.
