This lightening to USB adapter is a great way to use peripherals on an iPad. I mainly use it to attach my various card readers and using it quickly allows me to download photos when traveling.

This allows me to connect a midi keyboard USB to my ipad to play installed virtual instruments and write notes in real time to music notation software installed on my ipad.

I load from my nikon 810 with CF card to my Iphone. When I connect the iphone says there is no pics to load, just wait a bit and than the pics getting loaded. Didn't try anything else with it .

works well for importing photos directly from a camera. It will not work with any device which does not provide its own power. i.e. - no card reader adapters - the lightning USB3 adapter is required for that.
