Okay keyboard but not as durable as I had hoped
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this hoping to be able to replace my MacBook Pro with an iPad Pro and spend less time using my phone for apps as well. The keyboard definitely makes the iPad more useful for productivity. Having the stand and ability to use either the trackpad or the touchscreen was game changing for me. Using the physical keyboard rather than onscreen keyboard definitely increased my productivity and comfort. They main con is that if you need to use it in tablet mode, you need to remove the device as it doesn’t fold flat like the folio keyboard covers. Since the device no longer has any protection, this means putting another case on it for extended tablet use. The keyboard itself is okay. I would compare it to what’s found on low end notebooks and not what you would find on a MacBook. Unfortunately after a year of delicate use and not much travel with this, the nylon is starting to peel on one of the corners. Definitely would consider this wear and tear and doesn’t effect usage but still disappointing for how little this travels and how little abuse it sees.

The essential iPad Pro accessory.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It completely completely transforms the Ipad in to a laptop computer when you want that functionality. It's excellent. The keyboard does not even requite bluetooth pairing. It just works the moment it is attached to the Ipad. The track pad and keyboard function like their counterparts on the traditional MacBook and that rounds out the transformation. The iPad Pro is now a super tablet when yo need it to be and a laptop when you want it to be. The icing on the cake is that the keyboard lights up on it's own in low-light. One of the best Apple peripherals or accessories I have ever purchased and I have been using Apple products for almost two decades.

Pricey but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very skeptical of purchasing this given the price point but I'm glad that I did. The keyboard feels just like a regular keyboard on a laptop and sits well. I was a little disappointed that the pad doesn't go all the way back so you can fold it as a tablet in your hand. If you need to use it as a tablet you have to take it off of the keyboard stand itself. But, that's something small that I can live with. The magnetic attachment the iPad has to the keyboard is strong and this thing doesn't move at all. I love the trackpad on this thing where I can use this as a mini Macbook. This is a good purchase and a good thing to have especially if you want to do work without having to lug around a separate laptop if you don't need to

Excellent upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid quality and much better than the original keyboard that came with the 2018 iPad Pro. Loving it so far. A bit heavy but that’s what balances the weight of the keyboard and iPad.

Excellent keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a bit expensive, but worth every penny because it also serves as a protective case, has back-lit keyboards, and the iPad sits in the right position so that my hands do not brush the screen while typing, especially when reaching up to type numbers like they did with the other keyboards I’ve used for iPads. My only beef with this product is that you cannot fold the iPad to the back of the keyboard so that you can use it while in bed or sitting in a chair watching TV, etc. I either take it off the keyboard - which is very easy to do, and put it into a portfolio type of case or just hold it without a case - which takes some getting used to because of the iPad’s smooth surfaces. All in all, a high quality keyboard that is worth the extra money.

Quality Case
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Magic Keyboard works and functions seamlessly with iPad Pro. The key travel and sound when using it feels identical to my MacBook. I also enjoy the trackpad. When you first open it, it only responded to click. There’s an option in setting to customize “tap to select” feature for trackpad or adjust the backlit brightness. My complaint about the case is that it lacks protection on the borders and there is no physical or on screen feature to adjust backlit feature. It is a hassle to go to setting pa every time I want adjust the keyboard’s brightness. Other than this, the keyboard is built great with nice premium materials. Strong case with strong magnets. 9/10 case.

Makes the iPad Pro perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The magickeyboard was the missing link that prevented the iPad Pro from being the ultimate probable device. Contrary to other reviews, I don’t find it to be heavy at all. With the case on, the iPad + magic keyboard feel natural and very light. I have now stopped using my MacBook Pro and use the iPad for 100% of my work. There is a workflow learning curve when switching from MacBook to IPad, but once you’ve gone through the change, you’ll realize you should have converted over months ago. It’s pricey but it more that makes up for the high price point, unleashing the true potential of your iPad Pro.

Expensive but Exciting Accessory
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Magic Keyboard, while expensive at full price, is a great addition to the iPad Pro 12.9 (2018). This model was made for the 2020 (4th gen) iPad Pro 12.9 but no issues with using with the 3rd Gen. The weight has been discussed in many reviews but I, personally, got used to it quite easily. Anecdotally, I do need to mention that if you have a LTE version battery on the iPad Pro will go down a lot quicker than using with Wifi. Also, keyboard input sometimes does not work when using Spotlight Search after a while of not using the device. Sometimes it's an easy fix and sometimes a restart is required. I would recommend this accessory especially if the $100 discount sticks around for a while.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this because it was on sale. Otherwise, I don't know if I would have bought it due to cost. I already owned a cheaper third party keyboard which I liked for the most part but always wanted to give this try since it's an actual apple product and because it has a trackpad (my other one didn't). Pros: Contacts easily without any issues to ipad. Charge port on track pad allows you to charge ipad while using charging port on ipad for peripherals. Keyboard works great and feels good for the most part. Trackpad works great especially if you know how to use the trackpad gestures. Build Quality is good Cons: The hinge that adjusts your viewing is limited and feels like it will go out with time as you adjust it numerous times Keyboard feels good overall but wished it felt more like the keys on the older macbooks (maybe more of a preference than a con) Material used on outside of keyboard attracts oil easily, especially the natural oil in your fingers. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase especially since I bought it on sale.

Best Accessory Yet for the iPad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a multitude of Apple products over the years and I have to say that this has got to be the best accessory Apple has ever made; with the Apple Pencil being a best second. I have always searched for the best performing, best looking, and then the best pricing for my Apple products over the past ten years. While this keyboard is far from the best on price, it is the best on function and look. Apple may never be the first to create an accessory for its iPad, iPhone, or Mac products, but it is always the first to create the BEST accessories when it does. I have stopped using my MacBook Air all together since getting this keyboard two weeks ago, and I don’t plan to return to using it unless absolutely necessary, which I don’t see happening.

Can't recommend enough
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is expensive. It really shows grease/liquid/etc. It's heavy. But it is also by far the best solution if you want/need to type a lot on your ipad. The thing is fantastic. I couldn't recommend it enough

Heavier than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build Quality is pretty good, I like the way the keys press, it basically turned my Ipad Pro into a laptop. What I didn't like about it however was that it drains the battery really fast. If you don't need the functionality of a touchpad you might as well get a macbook air, but since I use Procreate as well it made sense to get the keyboard.

Great Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is great. I bought it together with the iPad Pro and pencil. The keyboard is comfortable. It is heavy and sometimes hard to open, but not to the point where I wouldn't buy it again. I highly recommend.

Perfect for iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5th Gen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some reviews, I wasn’t sure if this version of the Magic Keyboard would fit my 5th gen 12.9 inch iPad Pro when it is meant for the 4th gen, but I had no problems. It fits perfectly size wise, closes properly, the keyboard is easy and comfortable to type on, and the magnetic portion is very strong. The only thing that I can think of that would benefit the new version of the Magic Keyboard is that the newer version is supposedly heavier in the keyboard portion to offset the 5th gen iPad Pro’s slightly heavier weight over the 4th gen iPad Pro’s weight, but I didn’t have any problem with this either. I docked one star because I wish the outside edge (where the power and volume buttons are) had better protection, since there is nothing covering it. To help protect it I ended up buying an additional felt sleeve from AmazonBasics that works perfectly. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase, especially when I bought it for $199 rather than $349 during Black Friday.

Like
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i really like the keyboard, the keys are nice and just right amount of pressure to activate keys. Nice to be able to adjust the screen. Only drawback for me is I have a Apple Pencil and nothing wraps around the pencil when the case is close so i am to put the keypad and ipad in a backpack etc the pencil can come off the magnetic strip

Decent keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard has a great feel and it’s a lot heavier than I was expecting but in a good way. The iPad Pro and the keyboard together weigh a lot less than my previous MacBook Pro. The only thing I miss is having volume keys but swiping on the iPad is just as easy. One thing that I found super helpful is that I plug the keyboard in and charge my iPad and then plug my iPhone 11 Pro Max into my iPad and everything is charging all at once. The angles in which you can fold the keyboard take some getting used to but very sturdy and the magnetic surfaces are very strong so you won’t have to worry about it slipping out of place. Overall great quality and worth it, despite the ungodly high price that you will pay for an Apple product.

Great assessors for 12.9 inch ipad
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The magic keyboard is a great product. It is easy to type and makes the iPad experience feel more diverse. The pros of this keyboard is the backlight keys, easy to type, provides type c For passive charging. The cons are lack of positions, its price, limitation on iOS, quickly drains iPad battery life. Overall good Product!

Best keyboard for the iPad Pros!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down, the best keyboard I’ve used with any iPad! Typing is excellent. The extra USB-C port is fan-freaking-tastic! The main issue is the price but it’s an Apple product so it’s to be expected.

Expensive, But Transforms Your iPad.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Expensive but super amazing for your iPad Pro. This really turns an iPad into somewhat close to a computer. It is very substantial, the trackpad is excellent, keyboard is good - great item.
