The magnets to hold the iPad works very well. No lag with typing. Not having to recharge the keyboard is another plus. Best of all having a USB-C port that can charge your iPad is a great idea. Love this device and it works and fits find for the latest iPad. I have used several different keyboards in the past including Apple brand and this is by far the best thus far.
