WORKS WITH 5TH GEN IPAD PRO!!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.EXCELLENT!!! Just so you know I bought this for my new 5th gen ipad pro and it works perfectly so ignore the description only for 3rd and 5th. It didn't make sense to me that the new keyboard fits 3rd, 4th and 5th but this one skipped 5th... like really... same 3 point connection on the back of the ipad and trackpad and keyboard connect flawlessly. I bought it open box $176 and 0 regrets. Would not spend $350 on the new one or even new.... best deal right now so grab it if you need it for work!!!

Pricey but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard transformed my iPad Pro into a device that I can perform 99% of my work and personal tasks on. I rarely take it off of the keyboard when working. I was afraid that it would be awkward when using on my lap but it performs well. The viewing angles are good and the balance of the keyboard with ipad is what makes this keyboard different from other available options. If this keyboard had a function key row, I would have zero nit-picks. The track pad is the best part, It spoiled me. The addition of 1 more USB C port is welcomed as well.

Beautiful Design, Lacks Functionality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard has a beautiful floating design, but unless you plan to use your iPad in landscape orientation only (Which a shocking number of apps still don’t support), this product lacks versatility as it does not fully open or fold meaning that if you want to use it in portrait mode, you have to either hold it awkwardly or take it off completely leaving it exposed to damage. It does type beautifully and the track pad feature is fantastic, but not fantastic enough to justify the price point. Particularly when you can buy a magic track pad for half the cost and use your existing magic keyboard folio (I recommend the Logitech one). This is one of the first Apple Products to really disappoint me.

Worth the buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This almost replaces my MacBook Pro. I have the 16” MacBook Pro, and recently purchased the M1 Pro. I can’t even tell you why I purchased this- not a need, or really a want, just another premium apple accessory that I wanted to try. And considering it’s covered under my iPad Pro’s Apple Care+, I felt safe in assuming the risk of such an expensive accessory. The trackpad is incredibly responsive, and can be managed in settings to fit preference. The back light is True Tone controlled, and is perfectly adjusted for all lighting. The literal SNAP connection is insane- I don’t understand how it holds so well, but once you get it close to the case, it already starts pulling and does not budge at all. I dropped the entire thing off the side of my couch, and it still didn’t disconnect. The hinge was concerning for me before use because it only bends to a max of about 45 degrees, but because the top half of the case tilts, this was actually a perfect design to prevent the case from tipping over from the weight of the iPad. I say this because when the case is fully opened, and I tilt the iPad as far as it will bend, it will fall backwards if you have it sitting on a pillow/couch/etc. When it’s extended as far as it will go, a flat surface is a must, but at all other angles, it’s perfectly mailable on other surfaces. You can plug the USB C charger directly into the iPad, or there’s a built in USB C port to charge both simultaneously. And yes, I tried… you cannot charge anything else through the port. The one downside: the smooth black matte coating, is a fingerprint NIGHTMARE. I’m a little neurotic when it comes to grease and prints on electronics, and this one is a magnet. But, with a nice microfiber and electronics cleanser, you don’t have to scrub to clean off your prints. All in all, fantastic product. I find myself using the iPad Pro 12.9” with the magic keyboard more than my MacBook. With side car, this product is even more versatile. Worth the buy- still wish it wasn’t the cost of an iPad mini, but still awesome.

Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros : Apple quality keyboard and trackpad, backlight feature is useful, the extra usb-c charge port built into the keyboard opens the iPad port for usb c hubs or other uses, and the viewing angles are more than sufficient for typical use. Cons: price, too expensive for what it is, viewing angles are great just too few of them. Far easier to use on a solid surface vs something like a lap or non rigid base. The top rows of keyboard buttons aren’t blocked in any way like some had theorized because of the floating design so don’t let that influence your decision. I don’t regret the purchase and use it daily but the price makes this a hard decision for most. It does get the iPad Pro very close to MacBook level productivity and feel, but adding this keyboard and the pencil 2 to the iPad Pro also gets the price pretty close to MacBook Pro as well.

Rejoice surface converts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have used a surface for any length of time and made the switch to the iPad Pro, you really need this keyboard. It offers the thing that was missing with the traditional keyboard and that is the trackpad. I thought, at first, that the viewing angle was a kinda gizmoish type of feature, but now I like it. True, with this keyboard, you do need a somewhat flat surface, but it still works well in your lap. Easy to remove if you want to use as an iPad again. But with it on your iPad, it is now much more user friendly.

Great addition to my iPad Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard has an excellent touch, much better even than my iMac magic keyboard and it seems quite solid. I was expecting it to be heavier than I actually found it from many of the reviews and it is quite thin. I plan to use it at home ao I won't be carrying it. unless I plan to do a lot of writing.I have another cover without a keyboard when I want to carry it. I haven't had it that long so these remarks would be to this date, but I don't anticipate any problems at all. It is quite expensive, but the quality is worth it.

Amazing Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Ipad Pro, and although this keyboard is much more expensive than most others, it is 100% worth it. I use it on a daily basis along with my Macbook Pro, and the interchangability is great, especially when I want to travel lighter, and still have good keyboard capabilities. The magnets are strong, consistent, and great for added protection. Combined with the pencil, it is an all in 1 workhorse for my daily workflow and needs.

Great iPad Pro Accessory
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard is a great accessory for the iPad Pro! I have enjoyed using it and has definitely made me use my iPad slightly more than my Mac for day to day use. However, I wish there was a function row of keys like the regular keyboard and something to keep the Apple Pencil attached to the iPad because it comes off a lot in my messenger bag or backpack. Additionally, if the same Mac keyboard commands worked on the iPad I would love that functionality.

Finally a keyboard and touchpad!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this keyboard/cover! So easy to use, magnetic, no clicking in and out. Finally a touchpad. My previous iPad Pro had a keyboard cover and I always looked for touchpad in the empty space. There are some things that just need better precision with a mouse or touchpad. I only wish this could also lay flat so I can take notes on the screen with the iPencil rather than having to take it off completely. I use this for notes at work, no more paper or notebooks! Only downside is the price, too expensive.

Overall Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard does not fold flat for use as a tablet, however removing and placing the iPad on the keyboard is a breeze. The magnets are pretty strong and hold the iPad wonderfully while being able to remove it easily by just grabbing it. I’ve heard complaints about the weight but I don’t mind as it is slightly top heavy as it is. Pros: Can charge wirelessly through the keyboard, leaving the iPad usb-c port free for other options. Seems to add much needed protection to the iPad. Light up keyboard is nice. The adjustable angle works very smooth. Cons: Sometimes unresponsive with the mousepad clicks but generally works great. Maybe an iPad issue and not the keyboard itself. The cable to hdmi does not work with the keyboard usb-c port. You MUST use the iPad’s USB-C port to stream to tv for the hdmi cable.

Missing a lot to be so expensive
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The magic keyboard seems to be lacking a lot of features to be so expensive. No function keys, no pen holder, and no way of using the iPad in a tablet mode without removal of the iPad. With the pen attached to the iPad itself, my iPad seems to lose a lot of its battery endurance, and the pen falls off way to easily. The lack of function keys is also a huge omission, as settings such as keyboard backlight take multiple steps to get to in the settings app. I just can’t help but feel this is a product missing some key features. The problem is at the price they are asking there should be no feature omissions. When i think about the fact you can purchase a Chromebook, or iPad for the same price as just this keyboard it really bothers me. Especially in the current financial situation of the times. I have been using a zagg keyboard case with my iPad for the past year and am really missing the pen holder, the stand feature, and function buttons. Don’t think for my use case giving those things up for a little smoother keyboard and a track pad is worth it.

IM ALMOST CERTAIN THIS IS A LAPTOP!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my keyboard for 3 weeks, or so, and I am innnn LOVE! I take my iPad everywhere now. I’ve never used my iPad so much in my life until now! I love how strong the magnet is, the thousands of positions the screen view offers, the weight of the case (same as the iPad so some may find it too heavy, yet for me it just feels more durable.), and the extra charging port it offers on the bottom left side, which I love. I say that because no matter where my iPad charger cord is coming from it always has a convienet port that it can reach, whether it be the left or right side of the device. As far as its functions; Holding CMD will give you all of the shortcuts offered for whatever app you’re currently in, the trackpad offers many of the same shortcuts the the MacBooks offer, the settings allow you to customize your keyboard to fit your exact needs, and the trackpad also has the tap feautrue, so you don’t have to click down every single time you want to select something. Probably one of my favorite features. All in all, this is definitely a product I would not think twice about purchasing, or returning! It’ll add a strong new love for your iPad that you never thought was even possible! BUY IT! USE IT! LOVE IT!

Next level functionality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the previous keyboard fold up case version, mainly for the backlit keyboard & trackpad. Does make the iPad more like a laptop. It does add some weight to the device when carrying around but willing to trade that off for the increase functionality. Purchased on sale, probably because the brand new iPad just released is thicker and jury appears to be out on compatibility with this keyboard version due to increased thickness with the new iPad. Apple claims it works but when closing, its tight. I do like having the extra port available since charging happens in the hinge of the keyboard, adds some flexibility. Trackpad does help with eliminating fingerprints on screen since gestures are similar.

Best Apple iPad Pro keyboard on the Market
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far one of the best Apple keyboards for iPads that they have ever made. Once you get used to the track pad and the finger gestures to scroll, switch apps, and to do tasks it’s great. The keyboard is light weight and compact but still provides great protection for the iPad. I love that there is no extra charging or Bluetooth connects, just straight forward attach iPad to keyboard and go. I would definitely recommend this keyboard for anyone with the new iPad Pro.
