Not for everyone

The keyboard is good if you're gonna use the iPad primarily as a laptop but it doesn't really allow you to angle the iPad in certain positions. I found myself taking it off and using my folio case more with the on screen keyboard. Also the keyboard doesn't fit the iPad with a case on so definitely less protection which is a downer.
