Essential accessory if you want to minimize touch

Great keyboard, can't imagine using the iPad without it. Combined with the Apple Pencil 2, you can keep the screen completely clean if that's what you prefer. The trackpad has most of the shortcuts you're used to on MacOS, and even the 11-inch size is big enough for someone with large hands.

I love the magic keyboard. It helps me to avoid buying a new computer and just use my iPad Pro as a mini macbook. I love typing on it and how effortlessly it connects as soon as you attach it and how responsive the trackpad is to gestures. Would definitely purchase again. Worth every penny.

I wasn’t sure exactly how it worked before I purchased the Magic Keyboard but it was so easy and simple! Just put my iPad on the magnet and it automatically worked! No Bluetooth or anything so easy to take off and on too!!

    Extremely Overpriced but Great Experience

Been using this for a few weeks now and so far I really like it! However, is it worth $300 no way, this thing is so inflated and over priced it’s absurd how apple gets away with these kind of prices! It’s a keyboard and mouse (trackpad) with a magnet! Now for the good: Keyboard and trackpad work flawless and pairing was as easy as connecting iPad to the magnet! Trackpad can be used to open most things (or in games) as a double click which is great and you can also turn of natural scrolling which I hate but most people enjoy! They keys light up for nighttime use and are not too bright and doesn’t change the experience. The Bad: iPad easily comes off the stand if you tap it accidentally the wrong way which I have done a few times now. There’s no way to lay it flat or bring the keyboard behind the iPad if you want to lay it flat and use your pencil or game! Some times I have experienced being unable to minimize something and have to touch the screen (not a deal breaker but a nuisance nonetheless). The cost is absurd this thing should be closer to $99-$130 Luckily I had a bunch of credits and a few gift cards which made it more affordable! Overall: I enjoy using it just wish it was way more affordable and had the ability to fold back. If your looking for a flawless experience with pairing it to an apple product and would like a mouse I’d say get it if you can find it open box or have gift cards and credits! Otherwise try to find a less expensive alternative!!

This keyboard/trackpad combo adds a new dimension to the iPad experience. It’s easy to connect. The trackpad is skinny but fun to use. They keyboard is excellent to type on. The added weight is substantial as a pro and con. It’s also VERY expensive so the value may not be worth it. Highly recommend if this is the product you’ve been waiting for

I love this keyboard so much! I’m a college student and during note taking this keyboard makes it so easy to type up notes on the iPad. It basically turns my iPad into a mini laptop. I really like the concept of it! The keyboard itself is high quality and it easily attaches to the iPad with no problem!

The iPad Pro wireless keyboard compliments the IPad Pro. It is ease of use and the sensitivity of the keys makes it an excellent keyboard. Anyone who purchases one should get this keyboard, they will not regret it, I also like how easy it is to open and the way it looks and feels. The price though was a little high.

Although I was skeptical if it would be worth it, it is a game changer. It takes the iPad Pro from a tablet to a laptop. The keys are great, the touchpad is great, and the biggest reason it’s been worth it, is typing on my lap. Most of the other keyboard options need tables. I can’t believe I spent the money, but it was worth it!

It took some time getting used to the keyboard, but this Magic Keyboard really changes your experience on an iPad. I love the option of using a track pad and I like the high quality feel. Also, the magnetic iPad mount really make this simple to get started with. I attempted to replace my laptop with my iPad, but I’ll be honest... you have to set your expectations based on specific use cases. This keyboard does not make your iPad have the exact feel of a regular laptop. It is a lot closer and great for carrying to meetings and using cloud based apps though. Finally, having two USB-C ports (iPad + one the magic keyboard) is a great feature that you gain. The case ended up being a little heavier than I thought, but I actually became OK with this because it doesn’t tip over and does not feel the least bit flimsy. Now, for the negatives... I still give this 5 stars for my purposes but I will say I also bought a secondary case for when I want to use the Apple Pencil and write or draw on the iPad. If you get this case, you will want a second (probably relatively cheap) case for having the iPad lay flat on a surface. This case is not designed for that use case.

    Heavy But Great

The Magic Keyboard makes the iPad Pro a laptop replacement more than ever. The keyboard is nice and clicky and I'm glad that it has backlit keys. However, you do have to dig into the settings to adjust the brightness. There is no escape key but you can easily remap another key to function as an escape key (I used the globe key). The mouse is a bit small compared to a traditional laptop keyboard, but you get used to it quickly. One thing to note about the Magic Keyboard is it is quite heavy when paired with the iPad Pro. It wasn't unbearable by any means with my 11" iPad Pro, but it essentially doubles the weight without the Magic Keyboard on. The Magic Keyboard doesn't fold all the way back so it's great in landscape for a desk or in your lap as a laptop, but you will need to remove your iPad to use it in portrait mode. I definitely plan on keeping mine and look forward to seeing how Apple iterates it in the future.

This is by far the best keyboard for the iPad. But, my only gripe is that it is much heavier than the iPad itself. The combined weight of the iPad and this Smart Keyboard is equivalent to the weight of a MacBook Air. If you don’t mind the added weight, go ahead and buy it because this is really an excellent keyboard.

Great device. Simple and easy to use. Makes my iPad Pro 11 work like a Laptop device without the weight or bulky charge cords. Easily connects to other components and supports the Apple Pencil as well. One charge cable is all that is needed and leaves the connection on the iPad Pro 11 open to connect to external devices.

Close to perfect but lack of protection is a no go

So I purchased this because they do a price match and at the price I got it for, it couldn't be beat. For starters, it was everything I was looking for in a keyboard "attachment/case" for the iPad. I would not exactly say it was "magical", but it is the best one on the market for the device but with that being said, I had to return it because it was missing one thing in the design, and that somewhat scared me a little. As someone who protects his devices religiously (almost to the point of obsession), this combo offers NOTHING by way of any protection, aside from the covers. As you can see, the corners are exposed, which makes it easy to remove and reattach if so desired, for other uses, if this thing takes a tumble somehow..well you get the idea. Also, the pencil relies on the strength of the magnet, to stay in place, as there is literally nothing else holding it when the case is closed. When I would slip it into my bag, the pencil would always pop off and just sit there loosely. With that being said, if Apple would have had a pencil "holder" on this case, along with some sort of corner protection, it would be the closest thing to perfect I have seen. To use, simply pop it on, and the 3 pin connector powers the keyboard (so no external charging needed). The trackpad is extremely responsive and literally clicks everywhere (taps and clicks work). It does have a backlit keyboard as well, but the settings for brightness are not controlled by any key combinations like other keyboards for the device...but rather in the settings of the iPad itself. There is a passthrough USB-C connector on the side which is for charging the iPad while it is connected, which frees up the connector on the bottom of the device for other attachments. If one can get past the lack of corner protection and/or pencil "holder", I would highly recommend this. Sure it is expensive but just remember..they do price match!

Pros: compatible with 2nd gen 11 inch iPad Pro and makes typing easier/faster compared to touchscreen keyboard. Cons: keyboard doesn't flip back so when I need to work in portrait mode or take notes with pencil, I have to detach keyboard and minimal protection of sides and pencil. I did get this open box with a discount. At full retail price, I'd probably buy another alternative with better protection and keyboard detachment/foldover ability.
