You are paying for a premium iPad keyboard. None of the imitators come anywhere close. In particular, the keys on this keyboard have more travel than Logitech or cheap alternatives.

Where Have You Been My Whole iPad Life?

Then I got it on sale for $199.99 so I decided to purchase it. WOW! It is a tremendous piece of kit. I do miss being able to fold the keyboard around the back, but the better viewing angles, keys, backlighting, and the trackpad make the tradeoff worth it.

The magnet works great, have never had an issue with the iPad coming off of the mount.

Perfect match for an iPad Pro

Serves me well, at night with it's LED underneath the keyboard. Could be better if double touch on the touchpad works since I didn't like to click it twice physically.
