It’s great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I was skeptical if it would be worth it, it is a game changer. It takes the iPad Pro from a tablet to a laptop. The keys are great, the touchpad is great, and the biggest reason it’s been worth it, is typing on my lap. Most of the other keyboard options need tables. I can’t believe I spent the money, but it was worth it!

Love my Magic Keyboard!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t sure exactly how it worked before I purchased the Magic Keyboard but it was so easy and simple! Just put my iPad on the magnet and it automatically worked! No Bluetooth or anything so easy to take off and on too!!

Better than I expected, some drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took some time getting used to the keyboard, but this Magic Keyboard really changes your experience on an iPad. I love the option of using a track pad and I like the high quality feel. Also, the magnetic iPad mount really make this simple to get started with. I attempted to replace my laptop with my iPad, but I’ll be honest... you have to set your expectations based on specific use cases. This keyboard does not make your iPad have the exact feel of a regular laptop. It is a lot closer and great for carrying to meetings and using cloud based apps though. Finally, having two USB-C ports (iPad + one the magic keyboard) is a great feature that you gain. The case ended up being a little heavier than I thought, but I actually became OK with this because it doesn’t tip over and does not feel the least bit flimsy. Now, for the negatives... I still give this 5 stars for my purposes but I will say I also bought a secondary case for when I want to use the Apple Pencil and write or draw on the iPad. If you get this case, you will want a second (probably relatively cheap) case for having the iPad lay flat on a surface. This case is not designed for that use case.

Heavy But Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Magic Keyboard makes the iPad Pro a laptop replacement more than ever. The keyboard is nice and clicky and I'm glad that it has backlit keys. However, you do have to dig into the settings to adjust the brightness. There is no escape key but you can easily remap another key to function as an escape key (I used the globe key). The mouse is a bit small compared to a traditional laptop keyboard, but you get used to it quickly. One thing to note about the Magic Keyboard is it is quite heavy when paired with the iPad Pro. It wasn't unbearable by any means with my 11" iPad Pro, but it essentially doubles the weight without the Magic Keyboard on. The Magic Keyboard doesn't fold all the way back so it's great in landscape for a desk or in your lap as a laptop, but you will need to remove your iPad to use it in portrait mode. I definitely plan on keeping mine and look forward to seeing how Apple iterates it in the future.

It's expensive, but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes it is expensive, but I have personally tried other third party keyboard cases and none compare to this. If you are on the fence about buying apple magic keyboard case vs a third party one, get the apple magic keyboard case. The third party cases are good but not like the apple magic keyboard case. I was one of the people who did not want to spend the money, but I ended up spending the same amount of money as the this one was. The apple magic keyboard (1st gen) is meant for all the ipads from 2018 to present. One main reason i ended up returning third party ones, they were bluetooth, which drains the ipad battery even more. The apple MK is smart-pin connection, therefore not draining or using nearly as much as a bluetooth case. The reason I got this MK vs the new MK was the simple fact that the edge (where the charger connects to) is flat on the 1st gen and not flat on the 2nd gen. You are not going to have function buttons, but you have to remember this is an ipad, not a macbook. I will leave that at that. Hopefully this helps someone looking into this as much as I have.

Fantastic accessory
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device. Simple and easy to use. Makes my iPad Pro 11 work like a Laptop device without the weight or bulky charge cords. Easily connects to other components and supports the Apple Pencil as well. One charge cable is all that is needed and leaves the connection on the iPad Pro 11 open to connect to external devices.

Awesome product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best keyboard for the iPad. But, my only gripe is that it is much heavier than the iPad itself. The combined weight of the iPad and this Smart Keyboard is equivalent to the weight of a MacBook Air. If you don’t mind the added weight, go ahead and buy it because this is really an excellent keyboard.

Close to perfect but lack of protection is a no go
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I purchased this because they do a price match and at the price I got it for, it couldn't be beat. For starters, it was everything I was looking for in a keyboard "attachment/case" for the iPad. I would not exactly say it was "magical", but it is the best one on the market for the device but with that being said, I had to return it because it was missing one thing in the design, and that somewhat scared me a little. As someone who protects his devices religiously (almost to the point of obsession), this combo offers NOTHING by way of any protection, aside from the covers. As you can see, the corners are exposed, which makes it easy to remove and reattach if so desired, for other uses, if this thing takes a tumble somehow..well you get the idea. Also, the pencil relies on the strength of the magnet, to stay in place, as there is literally nothing else holding it when the case is closed. When I would slip it into my bag, the pencil would always pop off and just sit there loosely. With that being said, if Apple would have had a pencil "holder" on this case, along with some sort of corner protection, it would be the closest thing to perfect I have seen. To use, simply pop it on, and the 3 pin connector powers the keyboard (so no external charging needed). The trackpad is extremely responsive and literally clicks everywhere (taps and clicks work). It does have a backlit keyboard as well, but the settings for brightness are not controlled by any key combinations like other keyboards for the device...but rather in the settings of the iPad itself. There is a passthrough USB-C connector on the side which is for charging the iPad while it is connected, which frees up the connector on the bottom of the device for other attachments. If one can get past the lack of corner protection and/or pencil "holder", I would highly recommend this. Sure it is expensive but just remember..they do price match!

Seamless Productivity and Premium Design
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air 11” is a game-changer! The typing experience is smooth and responsive, and the backlit keys are perfect for low-light environments. The magnetic attachment is strong, and the floating design adds a modern touch. It’s pricey but worth it for the premium build and functionality. Highly recommended for boosting productivity!

Expensive but solid quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really a great keyboard. I still think it is too expensive, but it it solid and the keys are great! No regrets and allows me to use iPad as a laptop. It takes a while to learn all the tracking options that trackpad offers, but that’s on me, not the keyboard. The only downside is that it shows dirt easily both inside and out.

Apple Does Not Dissapoint!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is awesome. I use my iPad all the time an with this my iPad basically became my laptop. So comfortable to use, typing is smooth and natural. Mouse works like a charm. Only drawback is that it is adds weight to the iPad. Becomes a little chunky. Not so much that i would ever give it up though. Highly recommend.

Apple Magic Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Magic Keyboard with a Best Buy Christmas gift card. I was hesitant to purchase it due to the price. I am so happy I did. I use it more than I thought I would. Other pulses is the keyboard doesn’t need to be charged, has a backlight, easy to charge the iPad and it doesn’t get hot like a laptop.

Love the magic keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my magic keyboard really works smoothly with my iPad Pro ,, and is good solid build enough to protect my iPad as well ,, love that I can now treat my iPad as a laptop. It also allows my Apple Pencil to stay charged and magnetically attaches to my iPad. My old case I constantly had to remove case to use pencil.

Must have for those who need to type
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing keyboard for the iPad Air I recently purchased. The seamless integration, charging the iPad from the case and the feedback from the track pad make this experience amazing. The only downside which many have already pointed out is the price nothing else really comes close to the usability or portability.

Absolutely Brilliant!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know where to start. This keyboard should have been introduced years ago! The quality and functionality of this keyboard is amazing! The only downside is that you can’t use your iPad Pro to read as a book without removing from the keyboard case.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had tried Apple’s older Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro at the Apple Store and I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the feel of the keys, and I didn’t like that it’s Bluetooth. This Magic Keyboard is totally different and makes my iPad Pro feel like a laptop. I never liked typing on the iPad’s on-screen keyboard, but I can type for a long time with the Magic Keyboard, even with my 11” iPad Pro. It does not feel small or cramped, and my hands are fairly large. The keyboard connects instantly to the iPad with very strong magnets and it has a pass-through charging port on the lower left. This charges the keyboard and the iPad, adding to the laptop feel. When you’re ready to use it as a tablet, pop it off and you’re ready to go. It’s expensive, but I wouldn’t be without it. I use my new iPad with the Magic Keyboard way more than any of my previous iPads. While the front-facing camera is on one side and not centered at the top when the iPad is attached to the keyboard, the camera quality is better than any current MacBook Pro, and this combination works really well for Zoom. I highly recommend, it although it’s expensive.
