Upsides: Makes this a close to a laptop as possible. Best keyboard I’ve ever had for an iPad. Downsides: too heavy. Does not rotate to vertical position. Too expensive. At least $150 overpriced.

I had previously used a Logitech case and while it worked pretty well, it was very bulky and had one fixed position to work in. This case is a lot thinner, a little bit lighter but most importantly it has more flexibility in the screen position. The keys feel fantastic and I can type for days on them. The touchpad is surprisingly effective and I find myself using it more than I thought I would. It is pricey, but the experience is darn close to using a full fledged laptop.

Best detachable keyboard I have ever used. It’s not as good as my MacBook Air but it’s close. Even the track pad has an excellent touch and easily controlled tracking.

Really neat easy to use acts like a case. Allows you to not use the typewriter on the IPad. Easier to type on.

The Apple Magic Keyboard is as sleek and well-designed as any other Apple product, so you know the quality and functionality will be great. The biggest downfall (other than the price) is the lack of protection for the iPad. This is essentially a folding magnetic stand with a keyboard and trackpad built in. There is no protection for the sides of the iPad itself. Whether or not this is a dealbreaker will vary from person to person. I was able to source a iPad cover that works with the Magic Keyboard and it makes for a very sleek, albeit expensive, setup.

Great bluetooth keyboard for Macbooks. I love how compact it is so its also easy to travel with and set up shop anywhere. Good product.

Slightly pricey keyboard, but worked well. Idea was to use as a laptop replacement. Sadly, I determined that would be no-go for me, as I will need to a larger screen to make that feasible (or just buy a lather laptop at that point). Recommended if you have great eyesight and feel you’ll use it frequently. Trackpad also worked fine, thought I supplemented with an inexpensive MS Bluetooth mouse (which incidentally worked great accessing working through VMware Horizon).

Handy for the typist composing letter notes etc. some times quicker then using your finger than keyboard. Some programs that don’t rotate lengthwise is problematic but overall it’s very useful keyboard and case

The magic keyboard is great for what it is and the trackpad transforms the iPad from a tablet to a laptop. However, it adds significant bulk in the process and defeats the purpose of having a tablet to begin with. If you’re happy to accept the extra bulk because you don’t have another laptop then I can only reap praise on the magic keyboard. However for my needs, I would go as far as to say that I prefer the other keyboard without the trackpad given the lighter form factor and I already have a MacBook Air for heavy processing. One inconvenience that I can highlight is that I would have wished the screen could be adjusted for sharper angles, I find the range to be very limiting.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I use my Mac Pro everyday at least, for school, work, shopping, and appointments. I wanted to try the Magic Keyboard out, because I had heard that it is pretty close in comparison to an actual laptop but smaller and lighter. It is true. I love it!!!!!!! I wish I would have bought one a long time ago.

This case/keyboard is extremely sturdy and functional. I love it so far. My only con is that it adds quite a bit of weight to the device, but it also seems much less likely to be damaged in my work (with small kids). I do wish it were a little more reasonably priced.

By far the best keyboard Apple has made. I was skeptical at first and the price is ridiculous but after building enough courage, I finally purchased the keyboard and I do not regret it at all. Highly recommend to everyone who owns iPad Pro and have the money to spend on it. I use it everyday for everything and this keyboard does not leave my ipad. I love how it floats, the build is sturdy, the way it types, and the additional usb c port to charge. Definitely worth it!

Item works great and makes iPad almost as good as a laptop. Keyboard is on the heavier side.

The fit and interface connection for keyboard to iPad is great. Very secure and does not come loose easily. The feel of the keys is also very good. You have the feeling that you typed something without wondering if it did or didn't. The stand feature works well in any position that you place it in. This is a very good keyboard with the features of a cover and a stand. Well worth the investment.

Love this, works great and magnetic hold is very strong. Would recommend, worth the cost in my opinion
