The keyboard feels solid it does add weight to the iPad but I figure it needs it to offset the weight of the iPad to allow it to hover in the air. Also the ability to charger through the USB port on the keyboard allows the USB port on the iPad to be free. The mouse support is great I can switch between the touch pad or using my finger with ease.

This is a game changer for the iPad. Very stable, very responsive keys that are well spaced out, and the track pad is a game changer. I didn't think much of the track pad at first, but once you start using it, you can't imagine a keyboard case without it. Best part is, the track pad is clickable on any point of the surface.

I opted to purchase this because of the back light from the keyboard. Since WFH during pandemic, I work late in the evening, so this help. I sometime switch back the smart keyboard from The previous version for drawing and vector design. It does add weight to the iPad Pro, but its all worth it. Do not hesitate to get this. It's awesome!

I've gone through 3 different keyboard cases for my ipad pro and this by far is the best. The only thing I don't like is that there is no security for my apple pencil or protection if using to write notes without keyboard. An easy fix was to purchase a thin protector that holds ipad and pencil and is compatible with the magic keyboard.

The ipad and the pro keyboard are GREAT! Nice smooth clean look. Fast not huge battery stays charged forever it seems. Zero issues. Would definitely recommend!

Great keyboard, love the backlit keys and even though the size is a tad smaller than a full sized keyboard, I’m not missing anything using this. It is costly, but the trackpad is amazing, and although not a complete laptop replacement, it will suffice for basic word processing and basic web browsing/ iOS app usage.

Best purchase I’ve made in years! Yes this Keyboard makes my iPad more like a laptop but it has really unlocked the power of the iPad and has now made it even more versatile. I can do 95% of what I need to do on this device now and this keyboard makes it all possible as a result of recent iOS updates. Highly recommend!

This is a great addition to an iPad Pro! I have the Logitech version (case and keyboard, as one). It is pricey, but it is a one of a kind and works flawlessly. Buy once, cry once.

I upgraded to the bigger iPad Pro, so I ended up returning this keyboard, and I do have a review on the bigger, magic, keyboard product, but besides the size this is the same high-quality best of the best money can buy keyboard for iPad, hands-down.

The Magic key board is as much an innovation to the iPad as the iPad was when they were first released years ago. Don't know how we lived with the keyboard for as long as we did as we never had a key board on our previous two iPad's. This is a legit game changer

I had an earlier version of this and then bought a cheaper brand that didn’t work and was constantly having to re type. This has been perfect.

A fantastic must have add-on for anyone who really uses their iPad for table-top viewing and typing. Simple to setup...Very ergonomic...High quality...Great key action reeling, and like the track pad too...Only upgrade would be something a bit more secure for holding the pencil, not dependent on the magnet...

The magic keyboard is a must have if you wish to make the most of an iPad Pro. The trackpad on is a complete game changer. This tool transforms your iPad on a very light and efficient laptop, in which you can do most of your work if you have the right software downloaded on it and if you documentes are stored in a cloud or share drive.

My 12 inch 2015 MacBook died which I have been using basically 12 hours a day every day for the past five years, and I need a new laptop. I had a 2018 iPad Pro that I basically felt like I wasted my money. Instead of spending more money on another MacBook, I decided to try to see if the magic keyboard would be able to breathe life into my 2018 iPad Pro. Of note I tried other cheap cases off of Amazon, all of which were for basic work such as Excel box zoom meetings and managing Citrix applications. Of note I brought the bridge keyboard that scratched and put a dent in the back of my iPad I primary need needs for using web-based applications and light applications like Excel. The case works great and you can even use the pointer future natively in Citrix. I think if you’re using web based applications and other applications that do not require severe graphic processing it makes a lot of sense to go with this option as opposed to spending $2000 on a MacBook Pro or even a MacBook Air. There downsides: It is not protect your iPad if there’s a fall, I had this happen and my screen cracked fortunately I still had AppleCare and was able to get it fixed I bought a case off of Amazon that allows you to protect the iPad and still be compatible with the magic keyboard. Of course the product is definitely very pricey item and that the coating on the shell is rubbery Which I could see degrading over time But overall of the hinge feature works very well the magnets keep the iPad attached and the keyboard works very well and is a huge step up from the butterfly keyboard it was on my 12 inch MacBook. Ultimately your decision to buy this product depends on how much you use your iPad Pro. If you’re looking to turn your iPad into a laptop replacement this is definitely a must From trial and error using cheap keyboard cases off of Amazon there’s definitely a difference with this product. I would highly recommend buying this product if you actually use your iPad as a laptop replacement, it’s worth the investment Over the cheaper alternatives off of Amazon
