    Completes The iPad

This keyboard provides so much additional value to the iPad that I couldn’t imagine using one without it. The latest model works so well, connects easily, and the small trackpad that is included on the keyboard works great. The only drawback is that there is no ESC key, however, there is a workaround to map the CMD + TAB keys within the iOS settings to mimic the ESC key’s function.

I got the grey version. I love the typing feel on this keyboard. Very crisp and clicky keys, good travel. It is very sturdy, holds the iPad in place stiffly, definitely high-quality, as expected from Apple. I really like the floating design and that it brings the iPad closer to your face. A couple of things I would like would be the ability to tilt back just a little more, as well as function keys as other keyboards have. However, there are command functions you can use in the place of that once you learn them. Also appreciate the pass-through charging. Overall, a great accessory!

    New iPad Pro Experience

Outstanding keyboard accessory for the iPad Pro that has increased my productivity with this device due to it’s build quality, excellent keyboard, and exceptional portability. The update of iPad OS and the trackpad on the Magic Keyboard have been an excellent addition to my workflow and what I use the iPad Pro for. Is it pricey? A bit, I would to see this more price competitive, but is it worth the investment? I absolutely believe so , it had changed how I use my iPad Pro, the experience of using my iPad Pro, and certainly had contributed to increased productivity and has added a welcome addition to being portable or stationary when docking my iPad Pro to the Magic Keyboard.

I hesitated purchasing this; mainly because of the price. I bought it and left it in the box, unopened for at least a week; thinking I should return it. LOL But then I decided I really needed to give it a chance. I am so glad I purchased this keyboard. It works seamlessly, right out the box. It doesn’t need batteries and it does not need to be charged. It also turns my iPad Pro into a laptop. It has increased my productivity and it is so easy to use. As a bonus, it makes responding to texts a breeze. I just type and hit send. Love it! The only downside, is that it is a little heavy; make carrying it in a purse uncomfortable.

When I was considering if/what version of the iPad Pro I was going to get - i weighed the following specs before I pulled the trigger (see below). However, prior to that discussion, let’s first understand my intended, specific use cases - as this likely varies significantly person-to-person and ultimately should drive which version you choose. —MY USE CASES— (1) Writing & (2) Illustration —SPECS I CONSIDERED— (1) WEIGHT — (how much does the larger screen size and/or adding the magic keyboard effect the usability?) (2) SCREEN SIZE — (Do I need the additional screen size to draw larger illustrations or work more effectively?) (3) STORAGE — (How much space do I REALLY need for my workflow? & What are my options for extended/portable storage?) -WEIGHT &SCREEN SIZE- At first I was heavily leaning towards the 12.9” iPad Pro as I was Thinking that the larger screen size would allow for easier and more effective illustration due to the larger “canvas” to work with. However, upon holding the 12.9” with the magic keyboard I was shocked at how HEAVY it felt. Considering the additional $300 for the larger screen I figured I’d opt for the 11 inch and test it out for a few weeks and reevaluate. That turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Even with the magic keyboard attached the 11” iPad Pro is light weight and extremely versatile. I feel that the 11 inch with the magic keyboard strikes the perfect balance as I can work and draw with it, holding it in my hands, on my lap, etc and only after hours do I start to notice the weight. If it were the 12.9” that could quickly become cumbersome. Additionally, with the Apple silicon M1 chip The screen is extremely snappy and can zoom in very close for illustration purposes. In my opinion this negates the need for the larger screen. You can choose a canvas size that’s larger than the screen of the iPad and zoom in and out to draw, as necessary. Lastly the build quality of the magic keyboard is nothing short of excellent. I can hold it by the corner with the iPad attached and the magic keyboard open and it does not bend, and does not feel like it’s going to break. If you are a writer or simply want a fantastic keyboard to go along with your iPad I would highly recommend grabbing the magic keyboard. -STORAGE- worh the USB-C port on the magic keyboard and one on the iPad itself, it was an easy decision for me to go with the 128GB version. SS drives and HD drives have come down in price drastically over the past few years and will continue to drop - therefore I saw higher value in purchasing storage as I needed , versus paying upfront to get it locked into the iPad.

Very impressed with how the keys feel when typing. Also really liked the trackpad after I got used to how it worked. While it doesn’t add bulk the keyboard itself feels heavy but still totally slim and portable. Not a fan that you can’t flip this over to use the tablet in portrait mode.

So I decided to bite the bullet and give this keyboard a try. However, after only a few days of use, I found that there were a few issues that I had with it. First of all, the price point is just very high. Which is more of the familiar arguments that you hear about this product. But when you can buy a logitech keyboard that does the same thing for almost half the price it’s hard to debate. And second, the weight. Combined with the weight of the iPad it gives a significant amount of weight to have to carry around. Along with that, it is very easy to damage because of the material it’s made of. You would almost want to have a case for the case just to keep it in decent shape. To his credit however, it integrates almost seamlessly with the iPad, and if used often could be a great help In getting work done. As long as you can overcome the aforementioned problems. All in all however, I had to make the decision that it was not worth my money.

This is an investment that fully transforms the iPad into a laptop-like device It's a must-have if you want your iPad to be both a fully productive laptop and a lean back entertainment tool. It's pricey, for sure, but well worth the investment. Pros: * Backlit keyboard * Trackpad * Ability to tilt iPad to your liking * Much improved key travel over Smart Keyboard * Easy to remove iPad from keyboard. Cons: * Adds significant weight, making it as heavy as a MacBook Pro. * Feels back heavy on your lap. * Expensive.

The Apple Magic Keyboard is a total game-changer for the iPad Pro—easily one of the best accessories Apple has ever made. It doesn’t just enhance the iPad experience; it transforms it completely into a sleek, powerful, laptop-like workstation. First of all, the build quality is classic Apple: sturdy, elegant, and minimalist. The floating cantilever design is not just beautiful—it’s incredibly functional. It magnetically snaps the iPad into place and lets you adjust the viewing angle effortlessly. It feels premium, solid, and futuristic all at once. Typing on it is a dream. The backlit keys are responsive, quiet, and perfectly spaced, making long work sessions a breeze. You almost forget you’re on a tablet because the typing experience rivals many high-end laptops. And the trackpad? Smooth, precise, and perfectly integrated with iPadOS. Multi-touch gestures feel natural and fluid, and it adds a whole new layer of productivity. Scrolling, selecting, editing—it all just works. The USB-C passthrough port is a thoughtful touch that keeps your iPad charging while keeping the main port free for accessories. It’s those little details that make this keyboard such a powerful companion. Bottom line: If you’re serious about using your iPad Pro for work, creativity, or multitasking, the Magic Keyboard is worth every cent. It elevates the iPad to a whole new level of function and polish. You’ll wonder how you ever used your iPad without it.

Nice upgrade from the apple folio

So I just received this yesterday. Upgrading from my apple keyboard folio. Pros: Backlight keys- great when working in low light areas and don't want to turn on bright lights Keys- feel much more like a real keyboard and less like the awful butterfly keys of recent MacBooks. Build- Feels very sturdy, does not lean/tip back which is nice. Things that could be changed: The angle for some will be an issue, for what I do it is fine but I could see some not liking the angles it bends. Weight- It is definitely heavy, although when sitting it down and using it the weight kind of goes away. If you carry it around all day maybe that would be an issue for you. Again YYMV. Price- Expensive, but it is apple, what else is new? lol Overall I am enjoying it so far and definitely recommend.

Click and go! Wow! This is literally the easiest keyboard to use. When you line your iPad up with the magnetic panel, it snaps itself right in and is instantly ready to go to work. I love the backlit keys that seem to know exactly when you need them, too. Very convenient addition, as well as the trackpad that allows you to make your selection from anywhere on it- not just the bottom “strip” section. I also like the added USB-C charging port on the left side hinge for charging while working in an area where plugging directly into the iPad itself would be awkward on the right. This would be absolutely 5-star perfect IF: 1. It didn’t drain the iPad battery so quickly and had a power source of its own. 2. It had function keys (seriously guys, where are they?) 3. It was more versatile for angles- it is a pain to write on with your stylus. It would be awesome even if it just allowed to fold all the way flat like an open trapper keeper. 4. It had a way to *securely* hold the Apple Pencil. This is the most egregious shortcoming on something this pricey. At $129 retail for that little tool, you don’t want to risk breaking it or losing it when it inevitably is knocked from the magnetic charging area. To be honest, while this keyboard is way cool, I would NOT recommend it for the retail price that it is selling for. I received such a great deal on mine that it should be a crime, and that is why I bought it. I DO love it and use it every day, but if the above 4 issues were remedied then it would be worth what Apple is asking. … and THAT is my honest review.

Best Keyboard for iPad if you can afford it.

So I’ve been on the market for a new keyboard for my iPad. I actually used a Zagg one before getting this one but I had been hesitant since this keyboard came out and only because a) it was kind of pricy for what it is and b) it offers no protection. Anyhow, it finally went on SALE on Labor Day and Best Buy knocked out $50 off of it. I was looking for a new keyboard because my ZAGG one was already giving out. And truth be told, this is probably the best keyboard I could have bought for my iPad. It’s so smooth, just like typing on my MacBook and since I used my iPad a lot for work, it’s important that the key feedback feel reliable especially since I type a lot on my iPad. It’s so easy to use. I do have really only two concerns for this keyboard. 2) price. I could have easily bought a zagg one which cost almost half and it would have worked just as well. However, what I don’t like about those keyboards is the hassle of constantly having to pair them with your iPad or the lag whenever you’re typing stuff. Plus the keyboard themselves feel cheap. This feels very premium. It feels like I’m typing on my MacBook. I don’t blame if this is a deciding factor because it was for me. 2) Protection: This keyboard offers no protection for your iPad. I was a little concern about this as well but because I usually store this in my work bag, it’s not as bad. I’ve come to the conclusion my bag will protect it. And also this may be another deciding factor for some people: 3) weight. It does make your already heavy iPad heavier. It feels a bit heavier than my old zagg keyboard. Also, battery tends to drain a little faster on my iPad I noticed. I used to be able to go about 2 days not charging my iPad and I’m noticing now that I do have to charge it every night. I mean, I don’t mind. I was used to charging it every night however to some people this may be a deciding factor. Overall still recommend because apple is apple and one thing they’re very good at is making high quality products that just work seamlessly.

the keys are amazing. better then most keyboards I have used before. the price is very steep but its not Bluetooth so there is zero delay in anything and you don't need to worry about a lot of the things that come with off brand products. I would recommend getting a decal to cover the top and bottom if you plan on longtime use and use outside of your home, it tends to scuff easy and because its apple, its tough to clean. DeBrand has some good ones, I use the lavender pastel skin. works great.

Awesome keyboard! The name is perfect, little bugger IS magic. Lightweight, sturdy, and gorgeous.surprisingly professional quality for something called an iPad “accessory”. Fully backlit keys, and a true scissor mechanism make it a genuine pro level accessory.additionally, it folds neatly around the iPad Pro to create a protective case. It’s pricey. Added to the cost of my iPad Pro/Apple Pencil,i almost could have gotten a MacBook. In retrospect, I kind of did, and the keyboard is worth every freaking penny of it’s purchase cost.best gadget I own beside the iPad Pro.

The Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad is a nice upgrade for anyone looking to boost productivity. The keys feel good to type on, though they are a bit cramped and expected for an 11-inch device. It definitely adds some weight to the iPad Air, which makes it feel less portable, but the build quality is solid. It protects the screen well when closed, and the magnetic attachment feels secure. The adjustable angles are a nice touch, and the trackpad works smoothly. Overall, it’s a good case and keyboard combo, but keep the added weight in mind if you’re looking for something ultra-light.

This is the best item on the market for typing on the iPad Air 11. The extra USB-C charging port on the device is a game changer. Couple this experience with the new software capabilities of the iPadOS 26, and you truly have a productivity machine. I find myself reaching for the iPad Air more often than the MacBook Air. At some point, I will think about making the move to using an iPad with keyboard in place of a MacBook. The Smart Connector capacity is helpful for charging continuity. This is the most versatile item on the market and I look forward to using an iPad more conveniently. I got this one as an Open Box, excellent item. I am a bit concerned about one of the keys that seems to stick a little. Nevertheless, I do think that was an overall good purchase for me. This particular item was purchased from Best Buy at $70.00.

I’ve had mine for years and gifted this one to my hubby. I love it. It is backlit, needs just the right amount of pressure to press the keys, and the keys are in a good position for my hands. I very seldom use the track pad, but it’s nice to know it’s available. it has also done a great job protecting my iPad from accidental drops or chips.

This keyboard has held up well in the past year. It is sturdy and holds the iPad in multiple angles an is also very protective. The keys are easy to press. The main cons are that it makes the iPad much heavier and it's also not the easiest to open from a closed position as the top lid is the iPad and the (heavier) keyboard doesn't stay down when opening. Opening is basically a 2 handed operation.

Excellent keyboard. The typing experience is amazing, the backlighting is useful, and its atheistic is on point. The keyboard is expensive though and you can’t use the tablet in portrait mode. The magnets are strong and its easy to take the tablet on and off. I’m actually typing this review on the keyboard. I’ve read reviews/complaints of the outside material and how it gets damaged easily. I have not had any issues so far, though, I haven’t left the house with the keyboard.
