The Perfect Companion
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So bought this because I Apple products are normally pretty solid but I’ve never been impressed by their keyboard accessories. This one looks like they didn’t hold back though. USB C port was a nice touch. Works great. Key travel and typing experience is much more like a Mac or PC now. No longer that weird butterfly keystroke their other keyboard folios have. Backlit key are clear, and adjust based on lighting. Works great Trackpad is high quality. Works well, options in the settings menu for tap or press - that was a nice touch It is heavy, heavier than the iPad itself, but it is solid. I have no worries about this breaking or not being able to hold up I thought the cantilever would fold back a little more. It’s still acceptable, but would be nice if it folder back about another 1/2 inch or so. All good though. Typing experience is a complete joy and the magnetic attachment is solid. I don’t worry about the iPad sliding off. It’s Apple, so it’s $300. They can get away with it because it’s Apple, but the experience is solid. Love it and glad I could afford to buy it.

Best iPad keyboard that you can buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well worth the money. I was able to use the Best Buy price match guarantee because Walmart was offering a super low price for the Magic Keyboard. Great purchase, especially considering that I purchased this well under the normal pricing. My only gripe about the magic keyboard is that when you use the iPad as a tablet there is no protection for it.

They keys work perfectly everything about the keyboard is high quality. The only issue is the price. If you you can find it on sale, get it!

Best. Accessory. EVER
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seriously has to be the most I have ever used an accessory. The thing is, they call it the Magic Keyboard for a reason. It quite literally feels like magic, or at least something that has not been matched. The mousepad is the perfect size, keyboard is nice, compact and has an impressive backlight! Apple has outdone itself in my opinion. The magnet is both strong but not so strong that it is hard to take the IPAD off of the holder. The only thing I didn’t like is the limited angle adjustment. It doesn’t bother me too much, but sometimes I would like to get a wider angle to view the IPAD from. Other than that, the Magic Keyboard gives you the power of a MacBook while the IPAD gives you the mobile component and together it seamlessly blends both together, opening up a world of possibilities.

Too expensive, but design is excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I replaced my 2017 iPad Pro with the new M1 model, I also replaced my excellent Logitech folio with the Magic Keyboard. As much as I liked my Logitech, I like the Apple product better, and find that I am using my iPad more often. I can balance the iPad on my lap, which is enormously useful both for web surfing and for taking meeting notes.

Pricey but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the smart folio for a long time, refused to pay the high premium for this keyboard. However, 2 things made me give this a try. My iPad kept falling on its back when I put it on my lap forcing me to put pressure on the keyboard while typing, and I wanted to have the option to work with the lights off after my wife went to sleep. And this thing worked great! It's super stable and the backlit feature is phenomenal. It is a little heavier than the smart folio and you need to take the iPad off the keayboard to use it in vertical mode. Battery has not been an issue. I would definitely recommend it for the right reasons. Smart folio is also great. It all depends on how or what you use your iPad for.

Really nice addition to my apple ecosystem
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so I bought this for my 2018 iPad Pro and it a wonderful addition. I have 3 other keyboards that are nice by all standard but none comes close to this apple magic keyboard. It instantly turned my iPad to a computer. the keyboard has a nice travel and the trackpad is really good. Though it is a bit pricey but it is worth it. It is like it changed my iPad Pro to something different.

Worth every penny
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Typical Apple design - intuitive and very easy to use. Particularly like how easy it is to switch from laptop to tablet, without having to remove a case or pry the iPad out of clamps that had snapped, making me dread using my previous keyboard. Trackpad is a welcome addition that makes the iPad a reasonable alternative to a traditional laptop. It just works.

Great but pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very responsive and the way the iPad simply floats on the dock is incredibly satisfying and very sturdy. I think it has been my favorite accessory because the keyboard is super comfortable to use despite it’s smaller size. The trackpad also comes in handy far more than I would’ve imagined and really opens up the utility of the iPad. Only questionable part is the price… this thing is ridiculously expensive but if you need a keyboard for your iPad or want to do any extended typing sessions, I think it’s worth it.

Takes iPad to the next level
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to buy this at first, given the high price. I bit the bullet and was going to return it if I didn’t think it was worth the price. I was very pleasantly surprised! It is sturdy, light enough, and very comfortable to type on. Being a first-party accessory, it works flawlessly with the iPad. I’m very happy with it, it really improves the utility of the iPad.

I had the other one...this is a definite upgrade.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Angle options, trackpad and backlit keyboard are big upgrades. The price is prohibitive. This was an indulgence, especially considering I already had the original offering from Apple and REALLY enjoyed it. I just decided, I’m going to be working from home on this thing for a few months doing lots of Zoom and Teams meetings. This makes it a LAPTOP replacement for sure.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No other 3rd party keyboard can do it like apple can. A little heavy but its manageable for on the go. The tilt is super cool, just a great addition to the ecosystem

Great keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is very light on its own, but once you add your iPad Air or pro it will be a bit of a weight and you can feel that weight. Other than that, the upper keys such as functions keys, your finger will bump to the underside of your iPad. I feel it needs more space between those upper keys and the bottom of the iPad. I feel this an Apple design flaw. Something Apple can better the ergonomics behind this keyboard design. It has a USB-C port where you can charge your iPad. Other than that, I recommend Best Buy protection over Apple care plan, it’s cheaper and they can replace it if it can’t be repaired. I prefer black over white as time will get the white keys dirty and look ugly.

Transforms the iPad Pro
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hesitant to buy this new keyboard, wondering if I would really benefit from having the trackpad function. That was answered here recently as I've completed a two-month business trip where I used my iPad with this keyboard case as my operations computer instead of my 16" MacBook Pro. I mostly used it for Excel and Outlook tasks. The trackpad transformed Excel for iPad. I'm often capturing live data streams and graphing it for performance analysis. The iPad Pro processor is a monster when it comes to handling charting 10's of thousands of lines of data - I'd say it gives the average high end laptop a run for its money. Having a mouse pointer in iPad OS and now with the brilliant, spacious trackpad in this new Magic Keyboard case makes Excel a very laptop-like experience. While I won't say it replaces my MacBook, it definitely makes for a great companion to it when I don't have the space to lay out a full-size laptop. Another benefit to this case is the way the screen can be laid back. This makes for a much better view when I'm extending my Macbook's desktop to the iPad as a second monitor (Airplay). If by some accident I broke the Magic Keyboard, I'd definitely replace it. It has won a seat in my travel bag for sure.

Type like a Pro!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not saying this will be the best cheapest keyboard you will find. But the connectivity and styling is amazing. There is no charging, no paring, nothing!! You simply snap on your iPad and go to work! The trackpad makes it seem very familiar to your MacBook or Magic Trackpad. The gestures work great and it’s just smooth and it just works!
