I bought this keyboard when I got a new iPad. It is awesome. It serves as a keyboard, a stand, and a case for the iPad. I am very happy with it.

This is a real step up from the regular Apple Keyboard. The only issue is that it CANNOT go flat or be folded to use the iPad as a flat device to draw on etc. The other thing is that everything is adjustable in the iPadOS. You can’t for example adjust brightness of the keypads with the keys. You could only to go in settings of the iPad to adjust it.

If you like to only use your iPad as a mini computer this is the case for you. The magnetic back keeps the iPad sturdy and in place.

I got this to go with my 11” iPad and it’s an amazing accessory. The iPad sits on it securely via the magnet and the keyboard is amazingly comfortable to type on. I’m also thrilled by the trackpad and how well it works with the mobile operating system. I do wish it was a tad more compact but I’m willing to sacrifice that for the quality.

There are several alternatives out there, but they dont touch the greatness of the Magic Keyboard. I bought and tried a several b4 bitting the bullet and going for this one. The one thing that was holding me back was the protection of my ipad edges, i wanted some way to keep it safe when i pulled and put it on my bike or tread for peloton. The solution was to add(i know more money) a switch easy cover buddy case, its awesome and fits the magic case and perfectly folds your pencil. Back to Magic Keyboard, it quickly snaps your ipad in place, keyboard and function is good(miss function keys). Keyboard firm enough to use in my lap while watching tv. Close the case it shuts down ipad, you can charge thru the case. It’s expensive but its the best.

Great product, super helpful. It is a little heavy (compared with the iPad), but still, it is super portable. So far I have not complained at all, and it has been a great complement to my iPad.

Pro: If you prefer a trackpad control style for editing or creative tasks, you'll love this keyboard. The backlit keys are excellent and the keyboard feel is good. Cons: I personally miss being able to flip the keyboard all the way behind to give more of a tablet style. It's easy to take the iPad off the keyboard, though. This keyboard is significantly heavier than the smart keyboard folio. It's essentially like you're carrying a latop.

Didn't think I needed one until I started using it

I've got multiple laptops and in Covid times, I've been using all of them at work, home and in my car. I didn't think I needed a Magic Keyboard until I started using one. I've had all different kinds of BT keyboards for my iPhone and iPad and discovered the extra step of turning it on or keeping it charged was just enough of a hurdle that I didn't use them unless I had a specific use case and event then, I was more likely to just bring my laptop. With a super easy to dock case, track pad and pass through charging port to keep the USB-C port available, this is a fantastic accessory for anyone that wants instant-on availability. This is pretty much the biggest advantage to that of a windows or macOS laptop. I think the only downsides to the Magic Keyboard is the price and that you'll want an easy to remove case to swap out on occasions where you don't want the bulk of the keyboard or cases where the keyboard might get dirty or damaged (i.e. in the kitchen). For the price, Apple should give you a cover...

Love this keyboard. The keys light up and have the perfect amount of depression when pressed and the trackpad is flawless. Only flaws that I can pick up on are that the keyboard doesn’t have buttons for volume control and there is no slot for the Apple Pencil. The second was easily remedied by purchasing Spigen’s Apple Pencil holder for this very keyboard setup. The volume function missing from the keyboard, while very inconvenient and a pretty basic feature to include in a keyboard of this price, isn’t entirely a dealbreaker as you can adjust the volume a few other ways when needed. So far my favorite portable keyboard setup I’ve had for any of the many iPad’s I’ve owned over the years.

Yes it is expensive, but I have personally tried other third party keyboard cases and none compare to this. If you are on the fence about buying apple magic keyboard case vs a third party one, get the apple magic keyboard case. The third party cases are good but not like the apple magic keyboard case. I was one of the people who did not want to spend the money, but I ended up spending the same amount of money as the this one was. The apple magic keyboard (1st gen) is meant for all the ipads from 2018 to present. One main reason i ended up returning third party ones, they were bluetooth, which drains the ipad battery even more. The apple MK is smart-pin connection, therefore not draining or using nearly as much as a bluetooth case. The reason I got this MK vs the new MK was the simple fact that the edge (where the charger connects to) is flat on the 1st gen and not flat on the 2nd gen. You are not going to have function buttons, but you have to remember this is an ipad, not a macbook. I will leave that at that. Hopefully this helps someone looking into this as much as I have.

Great keyboard, can't imagine using the iPad without it. Combined with the Apple Pencil 2, you can keep the screen completely clean if that's what you prefer. The trackpad has most of the shortcuts you're used to on MacOS, and even the 11-inch size is big enough for someone with large hands.

I love the magic keyboard. It helps me to avoid buying a new computer and just use my iPad Pro as a mini macbook. I love typing on it and how effortlessly it connects as soon as you attach it and how responsive the trackpad is to gestures. Would definitely purchase again. Worth every penny.

    Extremely Overpriced but Great Experience

Been using this for a few weeks now and so far I really like it! However, is it worth $300 no way, this thing is so inflated and over priced it’s absurd how apple gets away with these kind of prices! It’s a keyboard and mouse (trackpad) with a magnet! Now for the good: Keyboard and trackpad work flawless and pairing was as easy as connecting iPad to the magnet! Trackpad can be used to open most things (or in games) as a double click which is great and you can also turn of natural scrolling which I hate but most people enjoy! They keys light up for nighttime use and are not too bright and doesn’t change the experience. The Bad: iPad easily comes off the stand if you tap it accidentally the wrong way which I have done a few times now. There’s no way to lay it flat or bring the keyboard behind the iPad if you want to lay it flat and use your pencil or game! Some times I have experienced being unable to minimize something and have to touch the screen (not a deal breaker but a nuisance nonetheless). The cost is absurd this thing should be closer to $99-$130 Luckily I had a bunch of credits and a few gift cards which made it more affordable! Overall: I enjoy using it just wish it was way more affordable and had the ability to fold back. If your looking for a flawless experience with pairing it to an apple product and would like a mouse I’d say get it if you can find it open box or have gift cards and credits! Otherwise try to find a less expensive alternative!!

The Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air 11” is a game-changer! The typing experience is smooth and responsive, and the backlit keys are perfect for low-light environments. The magnetic attachment is strong, and the floating design adds a modern touch. It’s pricey but worth it for the premium build and functionality. Highly recommended for boosting productivity!
