Visible Stains on ‘Excellent’ Condition Keyboard

I purchased an open box iPad Magic Keyboard in “excellent” condition as a birthday gift for my wife. Unfortunately, the keyboard arrived with visible stains and dirt marks, which did not match the description of “excellent” condition. This was disappointing as I would have opted for a lower-priced, non-excellent condition or bought a new one instead. The functionality is as expected, but the cleanliness and presentation were far below expectations. When I reached out to support and requested to exchange the product, I was told I could only do so by visiting a local Best Buy in store. I unfortunately do not live within driving distance of a Best Buy (which is why I purchased this item online in the first place), so I just had to settle for returning the product and waiting to receive my money back.

Great accessory to have if you want a keyboard for your iPad, I just wish it had a little better angles. However it’s still a solid purchase.

Apple obviously went through a lot of ideas when designing this cover. My iPad snaps in perfectly into it, and the keys have a nice feel to them, If you want to, you can use your iPad paired with this cover as a laptop replacement in a pinch. Cantilever design is excellent for getting the right viewing angle, and it feels sturdy enough to last constant adjustments. Charging my iPad is easy too since there is a port on the cover that allows pass-thru charging while the iPad is attached. It does have a nice, premium feel to it, matching the overall aesthetic of Apple products in general. With that said, I believe that there was one oversight when designing this keyboard cover: the Apple Pencil. Be advised that if you have or are currently looking into getting an Apple Pencil, there is no dedicated slot to store it when using this cover alone. The Pencil just sits on the side of your tablet exposed, which can lead to losing it or simply having it drop on the ground. I’m currently missing a knock-off due to this oversight- thank goodness it was the knock-off instead of an accessory that has a list price of $129! If you are only interested in typing and storage, this is a pricy yet elegant option to pair with an iPad Air or Pro. To reiterate, this an easily turn your precious tablet into a laptop-like workhorse, making it ideal for traveling business professionals. On the other hand, it doesn’t quite play with other first party accessories well outside of a usb cable, the Pencil in particular. If you want to use both, you might want to consider a tech pouch or scouring the internet for iPad cases that have a pen slot. I am having success with a MOFT case right now, and I’ve even seen some product pages for metal plates that you place between the iPad and the cover to allow Pencil storage…

    An Honest Review

The Apple iPad Keyboard is a game-changer that truly transforms your iPad into a full-fledged computer, offering a versatile and dynamic experience. Seamlessly merging the functionalities of a keyboard and a protective case, this accessory unleashes the full potential of your iPad, enhancing its capabilities and allowing you to do more with an already amazing device. One of the most impressive aspects of the Apple iPad Keyboard is its versatility. By providing a comfortable and tactile typing experience, it turns your iPad into a productive tool suitable for any task. Whether you're writing emails, creating documents, or multitasking, the keyboard's responsiveness ensures a seamless and efficient workflow. The inclusion of a protective case is a thoughtful touch that ensures your iPad remains safeguarded from daily wear and tear. The sleek and stylish design adds a professional edge, perfect for business meetings or on-the-go productivity. The ease of attachment and detachment of the iPad to the keyboard enhances its portability, making it a breeze to carry around without adding much bulk. However, despite its strengths, there are a few areas where the Apple iPad Keyboard falls short. The first noticeable flaw is the limited angle at which the iPad can be tilted. While it provides a comfortable typing position, some users may find the fixed angle restrictive for certain activities like drawing or watching videos. A wider range of tilting options would have been appreciated to cater to individual preferences. Another aspect that leaves room for improvement is the lining of the leather cover. Although it provides adequate protection, it seems susceptible to scratches and damages easily, affecting the overall aesthetic appeal of the device. Strengthening the durability of the lining material would ensure that the iPad keyboard maintains its premium look for an extended period. Lastly, there have been reports of occasional unresponsiveness from the keys, which can be frustrating during extended typing sessions. While this is not a widespread issue, it's an area that Apple should address to ensure a flawless user experience for all customers. In conclusion, the Apple iPad Keyboard undoubtedly elevates the iPad's functionality and versatility, effectively converting it into a capable and efficient computer. Its combination of a protective case and a fully functional keyboard adds immense value to an already outstanding device. Nevertheless, some improvements are warranted, such as a more flexible tilting angle, enhanced durability of the leather cover lining, and a thorough check to ensure consistent key responsiveness. If these issues are addressed in future iterations, the Apple iPad Keyboard would stand as an exceptional accessory that complements and enhances the iPad experience.

The keyboard case for iPad is a very good product, and is able to turn the iPad from an entertainment device to a laptop-esque work device. Typing is easier with the keyboard, and the stand allows you to change the angle of the device easily. The trackpad allows you to use the iPad without touching the screen, and is able to emulate touches, holds, and gestures. The magnet holding the iPad is strong, but it is still easy to take the iPad off if need be. Even if the price is steep, it is well worth it, and has a better implementation compared to third party devices.

After finally deciding to treat myself, I went all in and bought an iPad Pro along with the Apple Magic Keyboard, and let me tell you, it's been nothing short of transformative for how I work and play. Here's a bit about my journey with these two tech wonders: Opening up the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard, I was immediately struck by the sleek design and build quality of both. The Magic Keyboard, in its stunning white, not only complements the iPad but feels incredibly sturdy. Magnetically attaching the iPad Pro to the keyboard felt like magic—it just clicked into place perfectly. Typing on the Magic Keyboard is a dream. The tactile feedback from the keys makes typing long documents or emails much more comfortable than I ever found it to be on the screen. And the trackpad? A game-changer. It integrates so smoothly with iPadOS, making gestures and navigation feel natural and intuitive. The adjustable angles also mean I can switch from work to relaxation mode in seconds. Together, the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard have upgraded my tech game. The iPad Pro's stunning display and powerful performance, combined with the keyboard's functionality, have turned this setup into my go-to for everything from professional work to casual browsing. Plus, the portability factor is unbeatable. I can take this combo anywhere, knowing I have a powerful workstation at my fingertips.

The Apple Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad Pro (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Generation) and iPad Air (4th or 5th Generation) in white is a top-notch accessory. Its sleek design and responsive keys significantly enhance the typing experience on the iPad. The keyboard's backlight is a great feature for low-light environments. Its trackpad integration is smooth, making navigation easier and more intuitive. The build quality is excellent, ensuring durability and stability while typing. The white color adds a touch of elegance, though it may require more maintenance to keep clean. While it's on the pricier side, the functionality and seamless integration with the iPad make it a worthwhile investment for those who use their iPad for extensive typing or productivity tasks.

My new favorite keyboard for my iPad Pro

I was contemplating buying this keyboard since the 1st generation came out. I tried getting a Logitech wireless multi-device keyboard for my iPad and loved it for the time being. Although, it was inconvenient having to carry a separate keyboard with my iPad, connect it, and have no trackpad. Once I started using the Magic Keyboard with my iPad, it made multitasking with my Macbook Pro a lot easier. I was able to quickly type things or pull a document up using the trackpad on my iPad, or swipe down to see my lock screen and command center. The white is a beautiful color and has stayed extremely clean. It scared me at first. Although every time I would get a smudge on it, I would wipe it off with a Clorox wipe and it came right off. Therefore, I believe that it's going to take a lot for this case to get dirty. The trackpad and keys are a good size for my hands, although I wish I could make the trackpad touch only instead of having to click it. The noise of clicking the trackpad can be pretty clicky although, it's quite satisfying. The fact that you never have to change batteries or the keyboard itself is what makes it so efficient and easy to use. Cons: - the price because I feel as though this is a great case and keyboard for my iPad but I wish it was cheaper - the white color may start to change over time - the keyboard case does not cover the edges of my iPad which can be scary if you may be clumsy and have a fear of dropping your iPad - I bought mine as an open-box product in excellent condition and although it's excellent condition, the keyboard came with more cosmetic issues than I thought Pros: - the trackpad and keyboard are a good size considering my iPad is the 11-inch iPad - when you want to tilt your iPad back, it does go back quite far - it turns your iPad into a mini Macbook - even though the price is high, you are getting a high-quality product

Love this keyboard. It pretty much turns your iPad into a laptop. The mouse pad is a game changer and the the way it looks is very sleek. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to add some style to their iPad but most of all to make it easier to type and use everyday programs like word, excel and PowerPoint.

I recently picked up the Apple Magic Keyboard for my 11-inch iPad Pro, and it’s transformed my tablet into a productivity powerhouse. Typing on this keyboard feels just as good as it does on a MacBook, thanks to its responsive keys. The floating design not only looks futuristic but also provides a comfortable viewing angle. The trackpad is a welcome addition, making navigation a breeze and bringing a laptop-like experience to the iPad. It’s a bit heavy, but the added functionality makes it worth the extra weight. This keyboard is a must-have for anyone looking to boost their iPad’s capabilities.

This is a great keyboard for my iPad Pro 11 inch. The typing experience is great and the trackpad is fluid with no issues. I have the black version of this keyboard for another iPad. The backlighting on the black version is easier to see. It's somewhat difficult to see the keys in medium to low lighting situations. I wanted to return it, but decided to keep it because I like how the brighter color give is a cleaner look. It's also easier to keep clean compared to the black version. The black version seems to get white smudge marks and fingerprints on it. I'm unable to see them on this version with it being white, and the same color as the light smudge marks.

Another “best” from Apple. I love the protection it gives. The angle of the top section holding the iPad allows for easy viewing from a few different positions. Having a keyboard adds to the ease of using an iPad. Adds some weight to the iPad but it still fits in my purse or carry bag, nicely.

I bought this Magic Keyboard for my new iPad Pro 11” after having a Logitech for my last iPad and it is far superior. Best feature: the track pad. Another great feature: the usb-c plug on the left side of the keyboard’s hinge charges the iPad from the other side. Superior engineering. Only drawback is the Apple Pencil has nothing other than the magnetics to hold it in place, so I bought a simple attachment from Amazon to hold the pencil in place when I’m carrying it. While it is a little pricey, I would highly recommend.

Absolutely love this keyboard. Easy to use, not too heavy, type-c plug on the side and love that I can adjust the screen position. I'm using it with my iPad Air. I was worried about the white color but it's super easy to clean. Just use a wipe and boom, it's done. Also had a great service experience with the in store Apple rep. I believe his name was Andrew and he was phenomenal. I was looking for an open box keyboard, to save some money, and he went out of his way to find the best option for me. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Well designed, yes; Expensive, that too! If you want to have a full experience with an iPad Pro or Air, there's no substitute for this keyboard folio. The third-party products are not even close. The fully integrated design, software control, and versatility function like a laptop replacement that has pencil and touch capabilities. It takes me a long time to justify this $300 keyboard but once I have it, I can certainly understand and almost 'accept' its price. It may be a luxury to non-laptop users, but it is a must-have accessory for those who travel. The keyboard is very well made and sturdy. It does add quite a bit of weight to an otherwise feather-light iPad Air but during desktop or lap-top use as intended, the weight should not be much of an issue.

I really like it overall and wouldn’t be without it now, but is overpriced for what it is. I’ve only had it a few weeks but the quality and predicted durability are pretty good. Pros: High quality materials Great to type on Includes smallish track pad White goes great with my silver iPad Pro 11” Has backlighting Easy to mount and holds device securely Extra charge port Built-in connection and power Cons: Expensive Backlighting is uneven and splotchey Backlighting sometimes flashes off and on Does not protect the edges of the device Inconvenient to open as there is no protrusion to pull against Even without a function row, my fingers often bump the bottom of the device
