Weighty, fits my iPad like a dream, the profile when closed is thin but is very sturdy when open. Didn’t notice a significant drain on my battery. The keys themselves are not as tactile as I would have liked, but they’re nicer than the normal Apple keys. Love the trackpad feature.

Fantastic addition to the iPad.. yes it cost a little more than the off brands, but there is a huge reason for that: QUALITY, reliability and features. It is super easy to remove the iPad when you need to, but this Apple Keyboard allows you to have the best case and attached keyboard that basically gives you a great laptop experience.... when you want it.

I am glad I got a warranty as all keyboards have and end date… I just purchased this after getting a full refund for my other one that died… I used it heavily and nothing physically went out. I think it was a battery issue, but I loved it so much I knew I was going to get another one…just get the extended warranty… i tried other keyboards on my earlier iPads, but the Magic keyboard is superior and Best But did a price match. I am very happy with Best Buy and the product itself.

This keyboard works really well with my iPad Air. It connected immediately, and is very useful with the pass through charging. It seems very well made.

Great keyboard, backlit keys, mount adjusts for a better viewing angle, and doubles as a case. Magnets hold the iPad in place well when it’s stationary, although I have accidentally separated the iPad not meaning to in transport causing a couple “oh s&+%” moments. Price tag is high but for the quality it’s not that bad.

This keyboard complements the large iPad Pro perfectly! It makes the iPad a great laptop replacement, yet maintains all of the functionality of a great iPad. It just works! I also purchased a cheap folio cover for the times when I need to take notes with the Apple Pencil or just want the iPad to lie flat for whatever reason.

I bought this because I needed a way to charge my ipad after the built in charging port wore out. But now that I have it I find that I absolutely love having an external keyboard. I've had a 3rd party keyboard in the past for my ipad that I found to bulky and annoying to use. Apple's is MUCH better.

Little expensive, but it's Apple, so compatibility matters. Works well as a keyboard not used to how the Mac key layout works, though it must have for tablet, as it helps make a good laptop substitute.

This is a great keyboard, but not actually the best iPad case. Needs to understand that it is not very functional this case has a daily protector, because it doesn’t allow people typical and use of the iPad. I bought this so I can keep it separate from my iPad and link them together and I know I’m vacation I want to do something covering my laptop. It has a purpose but just remember it’s not really a good case.

Works just fine, really good if you’re wanting to quickly go from tablet to simple laptop, case can sometimes easily take damage if you have cats or animals with claws/sharp teeth so keep out of reach of them as it’s durability is definitely not designed for that.

Expensive for what it actually does. However, i wanted the keyboard for the purposes of compatibility, and not needing to worry down the road. It hits hard to the wallet at first, but then its worth it if you have it longer than 3 years in general compared to other keyboards not specifically made for the apple products.

purchased this magic keyboard on sale at BB at the same time as an ipad pro & magic pen. tickled with purchase! working super to carry to along with ipad pro to college classes and to get all my work done with it. ive always had ipads... but never the keyboard... and very thrilled to be using it! its so sleek and the way it makes ipad "sit up" on the desk is beautiful. and it protects ipad too!

Hardly ever use my iPad without it! I originally purchased a Logitech keyboard because I wasn’t sure about spending the extra money on the “Magic Keyboard.” Within a few days I became frustrated with the limitations of the Logitech and returned it for this. I’m so glad I did. Definately worth the extra money in my opinion. No need to figure out how to pair it or charge it, you just stick the iPad on it and you’re good to go! When you’re done using the iPad you just close it up and the outer shell protects it so you can just throw it in your bag and go! The only negative feature for me is how limited the screen adjustment is. It’d be nice if you could adjust the screen back more or even flip it to the back of the iPad to get the keyboard out of the way but still allow you to use it as a stand (like the chromebooks). But all in all, I love this little magical device!

I love the Magic Keyboard. You may think it pricey but if you are buying a new iPad it is a small expense. Apple products are meant to work seamlessly together and this one does! No programing necessary. Just hold your iPad up the the keyboard and the magnets grab it and keep it there. That is all you have to do. It almost turns your iPad into the best laptop you can imagine. And I love how beautiful Apple products are! This is no exception.

I love this keyboard. I especially love the response of the keys which have a nice feel when typing. Good spacing, right elevation from the keyboard base. I’m able to type faster with it than normally. I am in fact able to place it on my knees. It is balanced and is a good height for typing. Watching YouTube reviews on the different keyboards, it looked like the track pad wouldn’t be big enough. On other keyboards, like my MacBook Air, I run out of room and have to use both hands, one at a time, if I run out of room - very frustrating. The trackpad has proven to be big enough. Also it can be ‘pushed’ anywhere and it clicks. [Some are like “diving boards” and have dead areas.] I’ve had it for almost a month and it has stayed clean, considering I use it several times a day every day. A warning says if left on surfaces the color may transfer to the keyboard. So I have been setting it on a white napkin if there will be prolonged contact, just in case. The backlit keys are nice in low light, as long as the screen isn’t too bright LOL. The tilt angle of the iPad is just right. The connection between the keyboard and the iPad is instantaneous - no delay when opening the iPad and with input from the keyboard. Too bad it doesn’t have the function row at the top, but not a big deal for me. The magnetic back panel is very strong. When the keyboard is closed the magnetic seal is VERY strong and it takes two hands to open it while resting it on a surface in case it slips out of my hands while opening it. But there is a peace of mind though that the iPad won’t fall off and the keyboard isn’t going to open accidentally. I watched hours of reviews about available keyboards and wasn’t strongly convinced which would work best. As soon as I tried an iPad and the magic keyboard on display at Best Buy that was all it took to make my decision.

Functionally, this is a great keyboard/cover. So far, the magnetic device connection of the keyboard to the iPad Pro 12.9” is working well. The keys work exceptionally well. Connectivity works well with no issues. Charging a separate device is not a concern since it is automatically charged when the iPad is plugged into a charger. The only obvious problem is the exceptionally high price for this keyboard. I also am concerned about the materials used. I had the previous version of the Apple keyboard and after a year, the similar materials used started to break down, peel, and burnish. I would expect something costing this much to be more durable. So far after 4 months of frequent use though, the keyboard materials are holding up. We’ll see how things are in a year.
