I am a long-time Mac User but never have used the Mac mouse until now. I'm used to using the trackpad but this is a really nice addition when you really need to click and drag. Can't really compare to other Mouse products because I haven't used them in quite a few years and I'm sure there is new and improved versions. This one seems to work well and I can't really think of anything negative about it other than the price.

I have to be honest, I like the new rechargeable mouse. What I do not like is the way it needs to charge, but I am sure they have some reason for placing the location of the input where they have. So far, it does not take long to get a full charge so this really makes this inconvenient charge location a mute point. I say don't hesitate and purchase this mouse, its easy to use and not a bulky eyesore like other mouses on the market.

I loved the first version of the Magic Mouse (the non rechargeable version) and love this rechargeable one even more.
Unlike a traditional mouse with a scroll wheel or ball, the top three-fourths of the Magic Mouse 2 is almost like a trackpad for you to scroll horizontally, diagonally and vertically. It responds to taps as well as clicks.
You can program the Magic Mouse 2 to do right and left clicking (secondary click) and also two finger swipe to switch between full-screen apps. Double tap with one finger (not click) to zoom in on a specific area of a webpage or double tap with two finger to open Mission Control. Go forward or back to webpages with a swipe of a finger. All these setting are configurable through the Mouse settings in System Preferences.
A convenient power switch is located underneath.
To pair the Magic Mouse 2 to your Mac, simply plug in the lightning cable to the mouse and the other end to the USB port on your Mac. Once paired, unplug the lightning cable.
Due to its low slim design it may not be comfortable for some as it doesn't have that arch/palm support like some bigger shaped mouse.
The only gripe about the Magic Mouse 2 is the placement of the lighting port for charging. You cannot simultaneously charge and use the Magic Mouse 2 as you have to plug in the lightning cable 90º under the mouse. This means you need to have it on its side while it's charging. One should utilize the battery % indicator in the bluetooth menu on the top bar so you know when to recharge it beforehand. This will ensure you're not stuck with a dead mouse.

Ridiculous that there is premium price for the Space Gray Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard, but I also understand Best Buy doesn’t dictate prices for Apple products.
Decided to splurge on the Space Gray to match my Space Gray keyboard. Biggest thing for me with having the Apple accessories is not being required to use a Bluetooth dongle that takes in precious USB port space on my MacBook Air, which doesn’t have that many ports to begin with. I was constantly swapping out what I needed to be plugged in with my old keyboard and mouse, it was a hassle. With the Apple keyboard and mouse there are no USB ports tied up, and they pair seamlessly and immediately with an Apple computer. Definitely recommend if you’re considering it.

My original Magic Mouse died on me after many years of dutiful service, so I decided to upgrade. On the upgraded version, it comes with a built-in rechargeable battery, rather than requiring 2 AAs to work. The only drawback is the charging port is on the bottom of the mouse, so you cannot use it while it is being charged. But, I'll gladly give that up to not have to keep replacing batteries.

Very nice and clean designed mouse. Can change the settings to make it scroll faster/slower depending on your liking. Also the sensitivity can be adjusted. The battery lasts forever, I've had this for over a month now and still have 88% life from just one charge. A+ item, well worth the money.

Great mouse. Love the design. Was concerned about it needing charge instead of battery. Have been very happy with how long the charge will last.

A Very Apple Mouse

This mouse is very Apple. I bought an "open box" model, and it still wasn't cheap. However, it worked right out of the box with no tweaking of settings on my computer, no driver downloads, no extra stuff. I turned it on, it works. I was thrilled to see I can recharge this one by plugging it into a USB port with my iPad Mini's cable. My only complaint is that once a mouse's name is set up, there doesn't seem to be any way to change it. I can't make it "my" mouse, so I am stuck using Michele Torres' mouse.

I had the first generation of the Magic Mouse for many years. The last one failed a few months ago. I searched online to look for product information, pricing, and convenient store location.
I was happy to find there is a new generation of the Magic Mouse and that this one does not take batteries, charges using the same cord as my iPhone, and, with one overnight charging session, I can use the Magic Mouse 2 for a week before I need to charge it again.
While looking online, I saw there was no price difference between the Apple Store and Best Buy and, since Best Buy is very close to my home, I went there to purchase the Magic Mouse 2. The store reps were very helpful, as usual.
I love my new Magic Mouse 2. It is great to use.

I have a wired mouse for my Mac mini. Not bad but when I travel with my laptop I love having my mouse not tangled up in my laptop case. I worry about the wire getting bent. Shopped around and BBuy had a sale on Apple products. Bought this wireless version of the mouse and I am loving it. Portable, easily connects and lasts for hours!

This mouse is working just fine so far. I am really enjoying a wireless mouse - I only had the connected kind in the past and the cords were always an issue for me. Desk area looks nice and neat without the cords. Having the rechargeable battery is a great feature and don't have to worry about having batteries on hand.

I do like the mouse. Still getting used to the different features, so I still feel like a novice at times and move to the internal trackpad. Battery life is fantastic. What I don't like is I can't use it while charging. Would be great if the charging port functioned as though it was a tethered mouse. But it does charge quickly and holds a charge for a very long time. I also make sure to turn it off along with my MacBook Air once a week.

My old mouse quit working so I got this new mouse for my apple computer, better than the original version due to the fact that it doesn't eat up batteries, you just plug it in to charge it! Really like that feature, I got an "opened box" item and it was in new/perfect condition and works great.

I love this little mouse. It is so sleek and responsive. It has a touch ability, it’s wireless and stays charged for almost ever. The port to charge it is on the bottom which was not ideal for me but it stays charged well enough to not really bother me. If you are looking for an extra accessory to get just for fun I suggest it. But is it needed to fully experience the MacBook? Not at all, especially not for the price. They could have had Touch ID on it for that price. Or come with a pad

This mouse has gotten a lot of bad reviews on it but I wanted an Apple mouse to go with my Apple laptop so I purchased it anyway to try it and I'm glad that I did! At first it takes a little getting use to because it does operate differently from a normal mouse. But once you get the hang of it it's pretty neat. There is no scroll wheel so you just swipe with your finger instead (so easy!). There is still left click and right click. You tap it to make what you're reading larger or smaller, side swipe it to change pages. The battery life is wonderful! I've had mine since mid November (almost a month now) and have not had to recharge it yet. Yes one downfall is the charging port is underneath the mouse but you still have your computer's trackpad to use until your Apple Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go again for use. If you're into change then give this mouse a try and give it a real chance, if you love Apple products I think you'll learn to love this mouse to!

As always another great product from Apple. This is a rechargeable mouse and does not use batteries like the previous version. One problem with this is the location of the port where you plug this in to recharge - it is on the bottom center!?!? Should your mouse need recharging you cannot use the mouse, you will need to wait as it has to be on its side or hanging partially off of your desk. Not what I expected from Apple. Other than that the battery lasts a long time and operation is smooth and accurate.

While the mouse has been very easy to use and in some respects easier to use than a track pad, there are some downfalls.
CONS
1. Price, even though I did buy and plan on keeping it, the price is very Apple like, in that it's not cheap.
2. Very smooth and not easy distinguished of which way is "up".
PROS
1. Battery life is incredible! I charged it initially and still using on that charge.
2. Paired flawless with MBP

We recently upgraded our iMac and was pleasantly surprised that the mouse was so much better than the old one. It is lighter, sleek and the best part, rechargeable! We went through a lot of batteries in the old mouse. That's over now! This makes computer work easier for sure.

What can one say about a mouse, except that it moves the curser around as expected. Apple could benefit from better “right click” accommodation. The charging port is awkwardly located, and it seems to have far better operating time than my new trackball which stops dead without warning. So the mouse is better, and more user friendly. Like most things Apple it is overpriced.

Great mouse. Works super smooth, the only thing I would change is that I would prefer if the charger wasn’t on the bottom so you can charge and use at the same time. But I must say that with 5 mins of charge it lasts a long time
