Had bought a cheap knock-off from Amazon, but quality low and had a cheap feel. Also did not work consistently. The Apple mouse is a little more but the quality and feel are outstanding. It also has scrolling features that take full advantage of the mac, which the cheaper one did not have.

Drawback is charging port is in the middle of the bottom side, so you cannot charge and use at the same time because the mouse will not lay flat. There is no green light indicator as there is for the battery operated mouse, so you cannot tell if it s connected by looking at the mouse. Purchased for when long papers have to be written and it is OK. It is bulky to carry around so just leave it at home for when having to work.
