Pointer control issues when OS isn't updated

However, it too was acting wonky. So, I did some research and found out that I should update my operating system and see if that resolves the issue. As soon as updated my OS, both of them worked properly again. Apple recently released Ventura, but I wanted to wait a month or so before doing the update so my third-party apps would have time to do updates. Now my Apple Mouse is back to acting wonky again and the pointer is not cooperating.
