    I have tried to go cheaper but always come back to the Magic Mouse with my Mac products. It is smoother, more fluid, and allows for perfect scrolling. The price is a bit higher than I would prefer to pay, but for what a person gets, it is well-worth it. Like some, I wonder why you have to flip it upside down to charge it, but that only occurs every couple weeks, and is charged in 30 minutes, so it is a minor inconvenience.
