The track pad works great on my MacBook Pro but I have always preferred a mouse. I used a Magic Mouse with my old MacBook Pro (it uses batteries) and the one that came with my iMac. It was only natural that I bought a new one to go with my newest 2023 MacBook Pro. Does the job for me works so well with the Apple devices.

Of course, this is an excellent speaker. It's so nice to not have to worry about changing batteries.

The most important difference will be on....What will you use it for? Is it good for gaming?...probably not, as it is heavier than most mice. Is it good for normal computer use (macOS)? Yes, it pairs well with Apple computers and the scrolling (horizontally and vertically) is excellent as you don't have to deal with "mechanical" scroll. There are other gestures that can be helpful and but those depend on whether you want to enable them or not. Is it good for normal computer use (windows/others)? Possibly yes, the normal functions of a mouse will work just fine, but don't expect the same gestures you can get in MacOS since Windows would be the one to determine what it will let the mouse do or not do. Battery life is good, but if you use it like crazy don't expect to have superb battery life, normal use will last you a couple of months. Do consider that you CANNOT use the mouse while it is charging, so plan accordingly.

This mouse is great. I especially appreciate that it is rechargable.

My daughter loves it with her iPad Pro! Definitely made it easier on her schoolwork.

Works as a mouse is suppose to work. If your old one stops working ( wears out) it is good to get one.

I mainly use it when I'm traveling. Sleek and looks great on my desk. Great for when I go to the coffee shop to study, fits in my bag easier than the mouse I use at home.

Magic Mouse is good for apple products . Use with computers

This was a gift for my husband, he loves how long the battery last, he can take a quick 3 minutes break from work and this mouse will charge it’s battery enough to last for another week. It’s design is ergonomic and I love the gestures. Totally worth the money.

The one outdated design of the magic mouse is the inability to use while charging, as the charging port is on the underside of the mouse.

It works like touchpad. Its dependable and can swipe through screens.

This Apple mouse is so much easier to use rather than the battery charged ones.
