Great to use in place of a mouse

The track pad has been an excellent addition to my IMac and has replaced the mouse. It incorporates all the features of the mouse but no need to swivel it around. I started out with the mouse and enjoyed some of the features of a track pad on it. I find it more comfortable to use than the mouse. It rarely goes on sale and if so, still more than at Amazon; just ask the folks at Best Buy to price match. Better yet, I found out much later that when buying the IMac, I could have swapped out the mouse for a trackpad and paid the difference between them. I highly recommend the track pad.

    A necessity for an IMac...

Larger than the previous version of the Apple trackpad. Left and right click not as positive, but otherwise, quite good. Re charges directly from the IMac... on the down side, once the battery is worn out, my guess is, that you have to replace the unit. If you have an IMac you need a track pad.

I don't have much to say other than it works as well as you would expect for a piece of Apple hardware. I don't know what I would do without it in my docking station setup for a Macbook. It seems to take quite a while to charge the battery but that is better than having to replace them. Also, I have only had to charge it a handful of times in the past year.

Excellent track pad! The Apple Magic Trackpad works well with my computer. While it does take some getting used to, it is easy to setup via Bluetooth connection. It looks good and its settings can be tweaked in System Preferences - Trackpad. I watched some brief tutorials at the Apple site that were helpful too. The back of the box also has basic trackpad gestures explained. Taking a look at all these things really helped me to to get used to this trackpad. I highly recommend this trackpad especially if you have shoulder and/or wrist issues with a regular mouse.

After traveling for work for years I adapted to using the trackpad on my MBPro. Going back to a standard mouse was awkward and less user friendly. When I am at the office this is my go to with the matching keyboard. It comes with a thunderbolt charging cable (like the iPhone) that allows you to charge it via usb only. Pro: Force touch capable, long battery lift, fast charging, works great. Cons: it doesn't come with a USB-C charging cable. You need an adapter to connect it to your newer MBs.

The new model is sleek and now rechargeable. About a month of charge is pretty much accurate in my case. It beats having to buy batteries all the time.

I had the Magic Mouse for several years, and it finally quit working completely. I was going to purchase another mouse, but I'm glad I played around with the Trackpad at the store first. It's so much more intuitive than the Magic Mouse, and works very similar to the way your finger motions do on a touch screen. Easy to get used to, and easy to adjust the settings to fit your desired results.

To me, this is more of a luxury item than a need for right now. I was going to use it so that I could step away from my MacBook Pro while teaching while still having access to controlling it. I was also going to use it with my Apple keyboard so that I can close my MacBook and use it like a desktop using a bigger monitor. It’s really responsive. For some reason this was cheaper than the other different colored one even though it’s the same model.

No surprises what you're getting here - I needed an external trackpad for my MacBook and this fits the bill. I'd question whether its worth the extra money for a color other than the standard white one, but if you have the space gray magic keyboard , or a 3rd part one like me (the Logitech MX) then it does complete the look. Excellent construction - lasts at least a month on a single charge. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to add to your Mac.

We had the previous style Track Pad and the solenoid wore out. We like the Track Pad concept- less stress on the wrist and "touchscreen" capability with all the functions available with minimal movement. A bunch better than a mouse.

Awesome Trackpad. Best solution if you need a trackpad to input Chinese characters. Just a little pricey. Very well made and designed though.
