Great choice when mouse space is limited...

If you have an older Mac Book and you want to break away from a mouse this trackpad is a good choice. I'm still a novice user but I needed a peripheral that provides great features while remaining stationary. Sometimes I'd have little space beside my MBP and if I needed to scroll to the extreme left or right of my project I'd need to slide then lift...slide then lift. You know what I mean if you've ever had the same issue. It's a solid piece of hardware while a bit more pricey than I'd like but I don't regret the investment. It also allows me to forego the wrist strain of using my MBP's trackpad which is always centered in front of me...not a natural ergonomic position. I predict it can do way more than I've asked of it so far but I know I can perform more hand gestures on it than with my Magic Mouse. If you're a graphics geek (like I hope to be) you'll agree. The rechargeable lithium battery versus AA batteries is another plus. Happy tacking!

I specifically bought this touch pad to use at home with my Pixel-book. I wasn't disappointed. It paired right up with Bluetooth. All the gestures that I would be able to use on the Pixel-book screen work with this touch pad. It's very responsive and comfortable to use. I'm not a big fan of Apple myself, but this is a great product. Very well built. A little expensive. But all Apple products are.

    Great Product, But Overpriced

This is a great trackpad, and it’s massive! Coming from the first generation Magic Trackpad, this thing is so much larger, the rechargeable battery via included Lightning cable is so much more convenient, and the inclusion of a Force Click recognition adds a lot of additional functionality depending on what you’re doing with it. I definitely do recommend this trackpad, but it is very expensive and adding $20 to the price for a darker color is ridiculous. (Although it is absolutely gorgeous, way more so than the regular silver one) The Space Gray Magic accessories look really nice with a Space Gray computer — I got the trackpad and keyboard for use with my new Space Gray MacBook Pro and they all look amazing together… of course working is more important, but they do work extremely well and I am very happy with my purchase.

The iMac comes with a Magic Mouse 2. I use a force touch track pad on my Macbook Pro and I love the feel of it. I wanted the same comfort and ease for my iMac. The Magic Trackpad 2 is definitely the way to go.

Needed a new wireless trackpad, this was a great upgrade from the original. Trackpad has a ton of surface area, super responsive, and the battery life is great...use it for work daily and it goes weeks between charges. My only complaint is that switching between multiple macs via Bluetooth is a little painful, it requires a few attempts at disconnecting and reconnecting to work, definitely could be smoother.

I previously used the original Magic Trackpad, but when I read that this one has built-in rechargeable batteries, bigger surface, and Force Touch, I had to get it. I was getting tired of changing out the two AA batteries on the original Magic Trackpad (always at an inconvenient time) and I wanted to try out the new features of Force Touch, so I bought the new Magic Trackpad 2. Not disappointed. It made my MacMini feel like a new computer.

I'm sure I still haven't taken advantage of some of the benefits/ features of this track pad. It's charge has lasted over a month. The force touch is very convenient to preview files.

The rechargeable battery is nice but also having the new mechanical click is awesome as well. It doesn't rely on clicking the two studs at the bottom of the old track pad. It is a little thicker as well overall. The bluetooth signal also seems to be much stronger. I use a mac mini as a HTPC and this is the perfect component to it compared to the old track pad.

So intuitive and easy to use! I've always had a MacBook Pro, so whenever I upgraded to an iMac, I knew I needed the trackpad instead of the mouse. The mouse has always been tucked away in a drawer, and I only ever use the trackpad. It's a must-have!

This combined with the wireless keyboard has changed my work experience. Was able to elevate my laptop for better viewing and posture. The trackpad is easy to use and responsive. Size is just right - adequate, but not too big. Long battery life. Easy to recharge.

I've had the Trackpad 1 for about 5 years now and even with me using rechargeable batteries it doesn't seem to last very long. With this updated Trackpad 2 not needing batteries, it only requires a recharge maybe once every month or so. The results or night and day. I also love the new gestures.

I really like this trackpad, it is a huge improvement over the trackpad 1. Love it being rechargeable, prefer the new design. I will admit the force touch does take a little getting used to it. My only complaint is the unit is a little costly, ut so far for me it has been worth it to me.

The Magic Trackpad is, as one might expect, a larger version of the trackpad on a Mac laptop such as the MacBook Pro. Not much to say - it works as expected. No issues. The price seems a bit high, but if this is what you want, go for it.

After being a PC user for over 20 years, I made the switch to Mac about a month ago. This touchpad completes my Mac setup. Setup was a breeze. You can set the sensitivity, speed and what gestures you want to use. Some have customizable options. Your fingers simply glide over the surface and it's easy to navigate with. It's very smooth and has a great tactile feeling/click. The gestures are wonderful shortcuts and no more using the scroll wheel or back/forward buttons. A very solid and well made product with a good weight to it. It's an amazing little device that is fun to use and a pleasure to work with. It's just easy!

After more than six years of nearly 24/7 running it was deemed more cost beneficial to replace the iMac with the current version. This meant replacing the Trackpad with a Trackpad 2. The newer version has more width - more rectangular shape than square. Whether time had resulted in my original Trackpad slowing down I cannot say but the Trackpad 2 is certainly more responsive and much easier to tap for copy and paste. One thing I liked about my previous iMac keyboard and Trackpad was the lack of cables. Unfortunately Apple decided to make both items use an internal battery that charges via lightning cable. The supplied charging cables are about 3 feet in length. Since the charge does not last near as long as the AA batteries they used to use, I found that I had to move the keyboard and Trackpad 2 closer to the iMac until I can buy longer lightning cables to reach the normal position I had in my desk set up. It is worth buying, just not quite as "free" in placement for use as it used to be.

I've always loved the Apple trackpads on my laptops, so it was a natural progression that I ended up trying the original Magic Trackpad. I prefer to use it to a mouse, though I still have both in my setup. This follow-up version is great. The built-in battery makes more sense than having to worry about cycling rechargeable ones, though when it dies you either have a wired keyboard with the charging cable or you have to get it replaced. The charging cable makes pairing it a snap, too. I easily had it and my Magic Keyboard up and going in under a minute when I first bought them. Force touch is really handy and is why I replaced my original trackpad. It also helps with Apple stuff that it holds its value and I take care of my stuff for resale later. My only complaint is that the build looks cheap: white instead of brushed aluminum. But if you're into looks it does keep with the color scheme of the white cables. Bottom line is I love it and I would buy it again if something happened to it.
