Awesome Trackpad

I prefer this over Apple’s “magic” mouse. Honestly, I don’t know why they still make that mouse. It’s horrendous, and the gestures are easy to learn. I moved from a MacBook Pro to an iMac and didn’t want to compromise using the mouse.

After using this for awhile on my iMac I no longer use the mouse. This makes using the iMac similar to using a laptop. I also like that there are no batteries to replace, just plug the trackpad into a USB port to charge it when necessary. Great product.

A Trackpad out runs the traditional mouse.

Using the traditional mouse was OK and it got the job done. With the Trackpad, you do not have to move your hand as much, pick up the mouse and make that last move twice, sometimes three times. You put your hand on the pad, slide and because it is wide, your hand never leaves the pad, you don't stop and start again for anything. Just a great product that I am glad I invested in.

When I'm at home, I dock my MacBook Pro to an LG monitor and use a separate, wireless Apple Keyboard and this massive trackpad. I love the size of it and how responsive it is. It feels just as good as the trackpad on my 16" Pro. I used to hate trackpads after decades of using PCs. No comparison in PC land for an Apple trackpad, be it this standalone unit or the ones built into MacBooks. I don't even own a mouse anymore!

Works great with 12.9" iPad Pro, nice upgrade to previous version. It is pricey for a pointing and scrolling device, but the ability to use gestures was worth it to me. The only thing I have seen that doesn't work so far is using it as a mouse with iPad VNC connections. The touch to tap instead of pushing to click is a nice feature to enable for casual surfing on a soft surface like a chair arm.

It takes some learning, but it is easy and it is easy to adapt all the smartphone moves to the big screen. Things like photo management get easier. It is nice that it is remote and can be placed anywhere you need for comfort and productivity.

I went through two Apple track pads prior, feet would come out, BT would drop all the time. No issues so far on the new gen in either case. I think the footprint is slightly larger but don't have the old ones to compare.

This Apple Magic Trackpad is much better than using a Mouse with MacBook.
It is really useful by just keeping at one place and has many different gestures to use. You don't have to keep it moving like any regular mouse or the Apple Magic Mouse. It can be charged by a regular Apple charger and lasts for many days.
After using this, you will never ever buy a mouse again.

I used the original Magic Trackpad for years (now feels weird to use a mouse on my mac). It finally died, and I splurged on the admittedly more expensive 2nd edition. It is definitely more modern looking, and has some nice upgrades. The rechargeable battery is awesome, and being able to click anywhere is definitely nice. The force touch tech with no actual moving click surface really is like magic...you will swear it is moving. Overall, definitely recommend if you love a trackpad.

I use this when I am sitting at my desk. It's a great add-on to any and all Apple computers. I wish they made a comparable model when I am stuck using a PC. I have the Apple mouse 2 and I much prefer the trackpad.

This works perfectly with my macbook pro. The frosted glass top rarely gets dirty. The battery lasts a long time and it lets you know when it needs recharged. It takes a lightning cable that is included with it.

I purchased this after my original Magic Trackpad died after years of use. I like the new one compared to the old one for the following reasons:
* The area is much larger compared to the old one. It does take up more desk space, but that's not an issue for me.
* You can click anywhere on the surface, not just in the bottom half like the previous generation.
* It has an on/off switch and has a rechargeable battery.
I have used this for a few months and have been very happy with it.

Originally questioning what reasons I would have buying this accessory for my Mac. Read about the multiple on screen actions you can perform using your fingertips, try it in person, and you'll have already made up your mind.

Super expensive track pad, but after my old magic pad v1 died I decided to move to this one. I like that it's larger, I like the force touch, I don't like that it's a different profile from my v1 magic keyboard. I haven't bought the new keyboard yet. I also had some gift cards piled up, not sure I would pay full price for it.

I have been very impressed with the previous generation trackpad from Apple as long as I can remember. This new trackpad caused me to hesitate because of the price tag at first, and I am so glad I went forward with it. It includes force touch so I get to take advantage of all the great features that I have on my I Mac now just like I can on my new MacBook Pro. It's the perfect size, the surface is smooth, and it is 100% perfect. If you are a Mac user and you don't have this you are missing out.

I bought a new 27inch retina iMac and it came with a new Magic Mouse. I had owned a trackpad first generation and after years of using it going back to a mouse just was not great for me. I bought this second generation trackpad and the new design and built in battery makes using my computer more enjoyable every time I use it. Definitely recommend this Apple product.

Nice device in Apple os but not in win10

In the apple os environment it was wonderful, but in win10 which I run my Imac 27" 4k it doesn't perform as well. Not surprised, just disappointed since apple made it so easy to run in Win10 now. When I was first running it in apple os I was very impressed at how intuitive and functional it was to use over the mouse. Now in Win 10 I never use it and love the Apple mouse which right button clicks like a champ..
