The biggest reason being it has the same functionality as the built-in trackpad. I use this in conjunction with thr Magic Keyboard and I have to say they’re a perfect match for use with my MacBook.

I now use it all the time even at a desk. Having it off to the side is so much more comfortable and the larger surface is great. It feels just like the laptop's touch pad so no adjustment there. I only wish I waited until it had the usb-c charging port, but I just have an adapter.

I've used a laptop for years a have gotten used to the way a track pad works so it's cool to have that same work flow with my desktop computer, plus it's bluetooth , doesn't take up a port on my computer can be placed anywhere and works flawlessly. Great apple quality

Worth the wait and getting used to

I had the Mac mouse, but I was getting frustrated with it, it’s not very user-friendly, as far as positioning of your hand. If I’m on my computer, 8 to 10 hours a day I need to be comfortable.
