I had to buy this charger because I had lost the one that came with my laptop, and since I need my laptop for work I needed it ASAP. At first I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, but since I had no choice I bought it. I probably could have gotten a charger for a way cheaper price, but being that I have a MacBook the last thing I wanted to do was to mess it up because of a knock off charger. I was VERY pleased with my charger. The material and texture of the charger is very durable and reliable. The thing I loved the most was the length of it. The charger that came with my laptop was rather short, making it difficult to lay in my bed comfortably and charge my laptop at the same time, but this charger comes with different plug in options, giving you the choice of having a small cord or a long cord. About a week after I ended finding my charger but loved this one so much that I kept it! It's worth the money.

I've purchased Amazon/generic power adapters and cables previously for my MacBook Pro but they all seem to flake out after a year or so. Found this refurb cable for some savings and it seems as good as new. I am hopeful it proves to last.

The original charger that came with the computer only lasted 3 years, so I hope this one lasts longer, it does charge the computer faster which is great, and dealing with Best Buy is always a good experience.

It serves its purpose. Item can be hung, which makes it less likely to get dirty on the floor. Original cord lasted for quite a number of years intact, which the rubber covering just seemed to wear away.

I think this product is highly overpriced but since I’ve invested so much money on the actual computer, I can’t afford to get it damaged by buying a cheap non-Apple certified adapter. It’s real bulky as well.

I got the open box power cord. It is the actual apple product so it works perfectly. I love that the cord can disconnect and be used as a shorter length or a longer length depending on needs. I would definitely use the open box purchasing again.

I have learned that you mine-as-well spend the money once on the brand name, then to find a cheap one that you have to keep replacing because it does not last and over heats, and it deteriorates the battery life of your computer when its not plugged in.

Works as expected. Power brick gets a bit hot when actively recharging a MacBook, but stays cool when regularly powering it. Good that it comes with extension wall cable, as plugging the brick directly into an outlet is a bit unwieldy.

Same as the one that came with it. Other lasted about 3 years. Laptop still good as new so I can justify paying bout $80bucks after 3 years. I work on it so it's a minor business expense for me I guess. Regardless. Had to have it. What was my choice?

I left my old charger at home when I went on a trip. I had to get a new one and decided on this model over the lower wattage at the same price. It charges quick and works great. I just wish they weren’t so expensive.

My old charger got so beat up and worn it finally stopped charging. I bought a cheap replacement on Amazon that did the trick for about six months, then that died also. The new design of this compared to the old charger styles keep it from sticking out far and getting bent and worn as quickly. I also like the extra long cord.

I have an older mac which is a 13" and this charger seems to charge it a lot faster (The Apple guy at the store told me we can still buy the 85W and it would be safe). For being for an older mac charger I think they should lower the price a little. $$$

The Apple charger replacement is just like the one they give you with your new MacBook in a box. I was glad Best Buy carried the charger so when mine completely failed on me, I didn't have to wait a few days to get one shipped to me.

I needed to be able to charge my Apple Laptop without hunting down and moving things to unplug my charger, just to use it in a different room for the day. So much handier to have one in each location!

Pony up and buy the real thing from an authorized Apple dealer like Best Buy! Yes, it is more expensive and these should last longer, but we made the mistake of buying a "genuine" Apple charger in bulk packaging online. After noticing it ran very hot, we did some research and learned that there many counterfeits that are actually cheap China knockoffs. They look virtually identical, but these run on a constant voltage and have cheap internal parts. These factors make for dangerously hot power supply that could fry your Apple laptop. Fakes weigh less and turn on immediately. Whereas the genuine Apple charger is heavier and has slight delay in turning on as it reads the proper voltage necessary to supply your computer. Protect your investment and only buy the real thing from Best Buy!

Works as it should, just wish it was smaller. Putting the big device into a socket is clunky and doesn't sit well on a wall plug. Wish it had a 3' or 4' extension attached to it like a pc wall charger does. Then I had to buy an adapter for it which I think is a rip off from apple. Other than that it works fine.

Apple does it again! Boy, those folks are crafty. Whudda thunk it?! They can make a power adapter that works perfectly with nearly any Macbook (white, Air, Pro). Can you imagine?! Dell, HP, Asus, Gateway, etc. must be shaking in their boots.... :-P

I have had many aftermarket chargers for my MacBook Pro that I have ordered online for less than the cost of the real thing but they always stop working due to poor manufacturing quality. Get the real thing and have it last for ever! Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is only due to the price tag.

I had gone out of town and I had forgotten the power cord for my MacBook. Since there are no Apple stores in the area that I was visiting, I would not have been able to use my Mac. Thankfully, Best Buy carries a lot of Apple products including the power cord!
