What a pain the Apple made two incompatible versions of the charger connection for MacBooks! At least with this, you can spend only about $10 instead of $50+. It works well enough to be worthwhile.

Love this adaptor. I left my "new" MacBook charging cord at relatives while traveling. Got this adaptor to use with my old version MacBook charging cord. Works great! So glad I can use the old cord with this adaptor.

If you have an older Mac charger and need a newer MagSafe 2 charger, don’t spend $80 on a new one, just get one of these adapters and your all set! Great for traveling with 2 laptops but just one charger you can adapt for both.

This is perfect for use with the new Retina MBP. If you have an older MagSafe power adapter for a previous generation MBP, this will save you the cost of buying another, more expensive power adapter. It's great to have a second power supply when working from home.

I wish the charging standard had not changed, but it does a good job for what it is.

I have a lot of old cords for the Macbook Pro and my wife has a couple of cords also. I bought a MBP Retina and like to have at least 2 power cords and this allows me to use my old ones and saves me some money buying a new cord. Its simple and works as advertised.

The mag connector worked perfectly in connecting an older model power supply to my newer mac. I've got two old power supplies from now defunct macbook pros, so now I don't have to carry the power supply back and forth from home to work.

I bought a new MacBook Pro last year because my 7 y/o MacBook Pro didn't survive a fall... I am using this converter to attach my old power cord to my new MacBook. This way I have 2 power cords: one for my travel bag and one for home

I had to replace the cord on a Mag-Safe 2 charger (cat damage) and the wire I got had an original Mag-Safe connector. I didn't realize until I had it in place, and rather then de-solder it and try again, I found this cheap piece to put in-between. Easy!

I have several MacBooks and one of them he the mag safe power connection. Rather than purchase an expensive cord for a second location, I purchased this adapter. It works well and I’ve had no issues thus far.

Bought this item to be able to reuse several of my magsafe chargers. The converter is basic but works well. No complaints.

This adapter is required for older MacBooks- a magnet holds it in the charging cord - the magnet is very strong- it won’t fall out.

I recently purchased a thunderbolt display and it uses a MagSafe 1 to charge the computers, unfortunately my Macbook Pro uses MagSafe 2 so I got this adapter and its works perfect.
